But the Healthcare part isn’t going to do much for him. There is already widespread support to lower the Medicare age to 55 even among moderates. I don’t know why he would go only to 60
probably because medicare and social security are going to bankrupt this country :yeshrug:

think about it; they're massive entitlements that take up what, 50% of the budget? and neither side is willing to touch either of them because it's political suicide, so they just keep leaving it alone

and every year, people live longer and longer. it's a fukking disaster :dead:

I’m underwhelmed but it is a step in the right direction. I don’t get why they wouldn’t forgive student loans to people that went to private schools if they have federal student loans as well. But at least it would help a decent amount of people. It is definitely a step in the right direction and could help to attract some voters to him.

But the Healthcare part isn’t going to do much for him. There is already widespread support to lower the Medicare age to 55 even among moderates. I don’t know why he would go only to 60. I don’t know who that will appeal to.

Plenty of time for him to improve. If he seriously thinks this alone will get people on the fence to go "aha" he'll be in for a shock :mjlol:

Good first step. And an acknowledgement that maybe the moderates can't do this alone. But watch this space.

Regardless of what age they bump it down to, they need to remove the cap on social security contributions. Would help with the fiscal concerns of "cash running out".
i dont know what the solution is, but they need to do something :yeshrug:

medicare and SS are a fukking ticking time bomb

oddly enough, i think he has a good chance to beat her. it will tighten up but he can do it. az is a weird place in that some things favor the phoenix and tucson vote which leans democrat, and other things favor the statewide vote which is heavily republican. kelly has some things that make him less objectionable to right leaning, populist voters in az, such being a combat vet just like mcsally is but also is an astronaut, his gun control measures are tame and understandable since a maniac shot his wife in the head, and seems somewhat religious, and he mostly just wants to make sure people have healthcare. he has said some economically populist things which will probably have an even stronger audience now that tons of workers are unemployed. also the fact that mcsally got beaten by a bisexual democrat who used to be a bit of a socialist before making a hard move to the center is pretty telling. she is weak.

Biden should win 35-40 states here. Trump should not come out of this alive at all.
honestly, i wish there was a VP selection jumping out at me that had me like :banderas:

it seems like all of these women have a flaw :dead: and being a woman isnt the flaw. if they're charismatic, they havent worked in washington. if theyve worked in washington, they arent charismatic. warren seems to be the best combo of the two but i dont like that she's from the bluest state in america

This is a longer debate that I don’t feel like typing out on my phone. But social security can be easily be fixed. And by that logic he should drop Medicare to 60 either. So it still doesn’t make sense.

we can't stomach too much communism :yeshrug: a republican governor weighs it out nicely. they dont call it taxachusetts for nothing

i think the description "socially liberal fiscally conservative" fits a fair amount of people. but even if we elect a repub governor, we'd never send a republican to washington
