He's getting more votes as an incumbent in a relatively uncontested primary than anyone... its crazy
We know MAGA is going to turn out though. That's a given. I honestly don't know what it says about Democrats though. I'm gonna wait and see if any of the polling experts says anything. :francis:

Sanders had his shot and blew it. It was never about electability. He should’ve attacked Biden, Obama and the entire party leadership. If he was going to lose, at least go out in a blaze of glory. His supporters were ride or die and he basically neutered them. He undermined the progressive movement and was too ignorant to realize it. He was feeling himself a little too much.

And once Elizabeth Warren knew Sanders was running the two of them should have decided which one was going to lead. Instead, they undermined each other.
Bernie is cool with me, but people aren't ready to go from Trump to that progressive of an approach overnight. He should have talked more about stabilizing the country and less about the "socialist" stuff. It really didn't matter though. People really want Obama back and Biden was his VP, so that did it.

trump supporters are obsessed, cultlike and stupid. i'm not sure we should be scared that they turned out for trump in the middle of a pandemic, to vote for a candidate who isn't running against anyone and is already their nominee :yeshrug:

let me know when it's not just his existing cult, and the numbers have actually grown

So by the very definition of socialism most people dont agree with it?

Socialism is an economic and political system. It is an economic theory of social organization. It believes that the means of making, moving, and trading wealth should be owned or controlled by the workers. ... Socialists believe that everything in society is made by the cooperative efforts of the people and citizens.

‐--‐-----

Unions are socialist then. All taxes are socialist. Medicare and Medicaid... socialist. Wall Street bailouts, socialist. Farming subsidies, socialist. The Bush and Trump tax cuts.. socialism.

It seems that corporations have been practicing socialism for quite some time now. The only difference is that it only benefits them.

Americans are ignorant as fukk. If they even paid attention to high school civics/history courses the chances are the teacher for that was a Reagan Stan, "good old days", family values creep.

Our generation has been flirting with the idea of socialism, though. And bernie had momentum.

I agree with the last paragraph. Both of them together would have been unstoppable. But like you said, they chose divisiveness instead.

I put socialism in quotes in reference to what the Republicans would call it. I like Bernie, but some if that stuff he was saying was too unrealistic.
