Phonte from Little Brother made a great point, he said that many black people over 40 (especially in rural areas) are pretty damn conservative on social issues. Lots of pro-life and at the very least not championing gay marriage and LGBTQ issues.

I mean if anyone on here goes to TLR or even The Booth they can't be surprised to see a fair amount of homophobic comments.

I don't know how many of these translated to Trump votes, but it's worth dissecting and thinking about.

If you watch The Star Report at all you will see many of these types have been organizing. Basically "we want lower taxes and guns and we don't care that you hate us and are racist and will fucc us over in other ways that are against our interests"

Great thread, progressives generally have subpar persuasive skills. In many ways they remind me of tech bros and libertarians in that they mistakenly think being "right" is more than enough.

I think it's more so about being organized and consistency in voting for young-ish progressives rather than speaking in boomer-talk all the time.
