I think you guy are going to see some out of the box thinking re: Supreme Court than just adding seats. I’ve read a few ideas around adding levels of seniority and term limits.
And guess who will strike down term limits?

The Republicans have hacked the system. Jack it back. Pack the court and enact term limits. Do it all. The court has to stop being partisan. Add a lot of justices and end that.

11 is the number here...

The SCOTUS is supposed to be the final word, meaning you can't have a tie...That's why the court is an odd number...

There is ZERO justification for more than two judges ...Anything more than two judges is a power grab which will open up the flood gates where in the future we could end up with more SCOTUS judges than Senators...

I'd tread lightly here and stick to what you can justify...
This playing nice shyt is why Dems lose when they should be winning. GOP has no problem gerrymandering and playing dirty to win. The Constituion doesn't stipulate how many Supreme Court judges there should be.

Question Brehs. Are yall confident that the Democrats can present a united front when it comes to court packing and killing the filibuster? I worry about the more moderate/red state Democrats getting cold feet and not want to risk seeming radical

Confident no, but its a bridge and conversation I'd rather cross when we get there. The focus now is the WH and the Senate.

For better or worse, Biden will not go nuclear. I can almost guarantee that. He’s got just as much knowledge of this process as anyone.

However, I think he could be persuaded do some more progressive things if Republicans push Barrett through without any serious review.

I believe so, @hashmander confirmed. Got Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, etc.
dade gets unnecessary slander because of vocal white cubans, but as a county they are reliably blue. i think people get caught up too much in the margins when criticizing them because if the democrats don't run up big numbers in those strong blue areas they have no chance in the rest of the state. the better strategy would just be to try and not get your shyt pushed in so bad elsewhere in the state, lose 70-30 instead of 80-20 and not obsessing whether or not the democrat will win dade 63-37 or 60-40 and then having a conniption if it's 60-40.

i'll also add that hillsborough (tampa) is slightly blue.

The chances are not bad but ONLY IF people stay engaged and pressure their Senators. I will be on Senator Sherrod Brown for instance like Pinkeye Pence's Fly. I hope he's down, and the new Dem senators hopefully will be and just about all the old once they see how those winds blow :whoo:

if the dems let a 6-3 supreme court stand for a generation then i will never criticize people who don't want to vote. yeah their lack of interest in the process and spinning that both sides shyt caused us to be in this predicament with the courts, but we're here and there is only one solution to fix it. if you reject that solution then you're not really serious about this politics thing and why should people who aren't inclined to care about politics and voting bother?

No, not even for the two justifiable SCOTUS seats...

Spineless leadership is the problem and Biden is also against it...
