I find it mildly amusing how Obama treats Biden like he’s such a bozo. Apparently he was chosen as VP as a coin flip with Evan Bayh for generic white man. Then he told him to sit out 16 for Hillary and encouraged him to not run in 20.

There were so many people in Obama world even this year! who would mock or shyt on Biden off the record. Obviously it’s the gaffes and his old school style.
But it’s also cause Biden didn’t go to Ivy League school and actually came from a working middle class background. Even though Biden’s record has been corporate friendly cause of Delaware, he was still one of the least wealthy Senators. He and Jill were just making money off his salary and her teaching plus whatever books he put out.
I think Biden is much less ideological than Obama. But I think he’s just as naive thinking he can get Republicans to work with him.
Dems need to invest more in non college voters. GOP can put up actual special ed people like that senator in Mississippi and she'll will win despite Espy being a genius compared to her because of racism and anti intellectualism.

He could be vocal. I don’t think covid is stopping a former president from speaking before a camera. You can’t honestly not say Obama’s support of Biden hasn’t been tepid, particularly in comparison to his enthusiastic support for Hillary.
And he wasn’t worried about Trump like that against Hillary. By all accounts including his own he was as floored as most of us when Trump won.
It’s pretty well known in Washington circles Obama and Hillary both think Biden is an idiot and not on their intellectual levels and they laugh at him behind his back.
