@NaijaProdigy Redux Twitter seems to be up in arms about Trump saying "levered". I was like, I remember people using that term when I was at a small PE firm coming out of college. I know people hate Trump but I can't be the only one that didn't have a problem with that term.

Yea. We always used “levered” in conversations in investment banking and private equity.

it’s just the colloquial way of speaking. It’s the last thing to turn into something big

Its really how disgusting how red Miami is, they need to hand over that land it deserves better. Watching this dr on CNN talking about she's pro science and pro mask but leaning towards Trump:dahell:

Edit: its the daughter and mother duo from his townhall

Honestly, Trump did really good. He wasn't asked softball questions at all and he generally spinned and lied effectively when he needed to. I can't say it was a poor showing from him. Contrast to the first debate where he was a disaster.
:jbhmm:

Lying effectively is not a good thing, and he absolutely did nothing effectively last night. He’s getting roasted for that performance and he couldn’t even answer basic follow up questions about conspiracy theories or his taxes.

Biden did fantastic.

So if the idea was to gain voters, in what ways was that performance successful?

A lot of the FL R registration numbers though look like they could be goosed because of "Dixiecrat" Ds switched after 2016. People, mostly white, who voted R for a long time but were still registered D. Also, the white share of the electorate is down from 2016 which may be a help.

Larger point stands though - FL is not the place EVER to depend on for a win. :stopitslime:
