Based on the information about his 2016 campaign, he's being consistent

Elaborate on this because it looks like a false equivalence to me considering Bernie wasn't even aware of what was happening whereas Biden is being directly accused of the action.

Both have been accused of facilitating a system that treats women as less then men.

Both of their responses to their situations are identical.

Neither of them habe been accused of doing anything criminal.

How far are you reducing these responses to get to this equivalence? I'm assuming you mean something along the lines of "I didn't know women were being made uncomfortable" but I'm not completely sure.

Where I'd say that's false equivalence is based on the context that Biden is literally accused of putting his hands on women in a way that made them uncomfortable. Whereas Bernie is not implicated of any actions on his own part, but rather a member of his campaign was implicated. So Bernie's response is "I didn't know women were being made uncomfortable by people in my campaign." Whereas Biden is saying "I didn't know I was making women uncomfortable."

I personally don't agree that these are identical. But again, I'm not completely sure what you consider their identical responses to be or what context you're using to say that they're the same.

I said that their responses were identical to their situations.

"I did not know... but now i do... and i will make steps going forward to address this issue."

That was directly in reponse to you all wondering why Bernie responded the way he did to Biden.

He can relate. :manny:

What I'm saying is that their responses are only identical if you cut out the context. To me it's kinda like when MAGA heads say "Obama put kids at the border in cages first"

The context is they're old white men who aren't overly concerned about these issues.
