Breh, please tell me that this post is also a typo.

There is no scenario where Bernie and his millions of supporters won't be looked at with scorn and derision by the broader Dem majority. Win or lose in November.

At best they will be viewed as an afterthought if Biden wins and they can continue to pretend as if we don't exist. And that the flowers and bunnies and butterflies that permeated all aspects of American life before 2016 will return, letting us all live happily ever after.

Well the problem is with Bernie supporters already. Some have already spoken out about not voting in November. Pretty damn sad.

That was a media boosted narrative that only came up once Bernie had a clear lead and there was a coordinated attempt to drive down his support, it worked. There is no enthusiasm for Biden, as polls have shown, a lot of people are going to stay home. Biden may win but it won't be by a large enough margin to swing races down ballot. That's if the baggage that he has doesn't cause him to lose once the general election fight starts in earnest.
well i'd rather biden put a liberal woman on the supreme court than trump put Brett Kavanaugh the 3rd. thats enough reason for me :yeshrug:

We need term limits so people can’t be “forced” to vote for a candidate due to fear of lifetime Supreme Court appointments.

Do it Biden

That's a constitutional amendment right? Or is it just a law passed in Congress that'll make that change?

Come on, I know you (unlike the indian spammer) are more knowledgeable than this.

Regarding the second bolded, to understand why some of his supporters are so jaded, ask what they have enjoyed about the last 16-24 years. But you know this already.

I remember hearing about Bernie before his presidential aspirations sometime back in 2013 I think. I was growing extremely tired of the status quo and learning about his policy ideas was like a breath of fresh air. I applaud the man and for pushing progressive ideas into the mainstream when everyone was calling him crazy. I wouldn’t be surprised if the very people who voted against him because his “communist socialist” ideas were unrealistic are now begging Uncle Sam for universal healthcare and UBI because their out of a job now.

He was robbed in 2016 and made a lot of mistakes this go around but he fought the good fight and helped usher progressives into the political structure. I have no hope for this country until the two party system ends and it has to start at the local level. Republicans have been ruthless and methodical for the last 50 yrs in incorporating their racist & oligarchic policies into everyone aspect of the American political and cultural structure and are bearing the fruits of their labor. Progressives have got to have that same energy if we expect anything to change.

I don't think Biden can really do it, I think what you are saying is right. I was being saracastic.

That being said, I do appreciate Steyer making this a part of his platform. Edit: he may have only been talking about congress though.

The Hero we need, but not the one we deserve.

Thank you Bernie Sanders. They moved heaven and Earth to make sure you never get the nomination, but they can’t defeat your ideas. You have shifted the Overton window in our political discourse. Policies and issues that were once taboo or ignored, are now so mainstream and popular with the public, they compel even the most conservative Dems to adopt them in some fashion or another.

1. Universal Healthcare
2. Living Wage
3. Free College Tuition
4. Loan Forgiveness
5. Income and Wealth Inequality
6. Green New Deal

Sooner or later, even the dirtbag corporate owned Democrats are going to have to fully adopt all your positions to survive.

I salute you, Bernard Sanders.

:salute:

I’ve gotten into with some on Twitter and Reddit. I had to stop because I felt my blood pressure rising. I’m hardcore for Bernie, but when it comes down to it, I’m not going to sit my ass home and just give the shyt to Trump. No matter what my gripes with Democrats are, four more years of Trump, and more Republicans being elected to positions of power, is not going to fix anything. These other hardcore supporters are saying that even if Bernie says that we have to come together for the good of the country, they’ll tell him to go fukk himself. Which tells me a whole lot. It tells me that their lives under Trump isn’t that bad. It tells me that Republicans stripping away hard fought civil rights isn’t that big of a deal for them. In fact, it’ll just give them something to bytch and moan about in their echo chambers. Which is probably what they just want. They just want to be outraged to be outraged.

To be honest, what we want is for more people to realize capitalism is the problem. Trump makes that a hell of a lot more obvious than Biden does. Another corporate Dem in the Oval Office serves to cloak the villain. Trump is mask off.

But I don't think 4 more years of Trump is actually bearable. And I doubt he wants to limit himself to just 4 more anyway. He wants to be a fascist dictator. And liberals' response to that is..... Joe Biden? LOL. LMAO.

I was going to vote Green party as a protest vote against the Dem centrists, but Trump has proven with this crisis that he is an existential threat to the country as Bernie has often says. He needs to be removed from office.
