what helps to further bernie's agenda: biden winning in 2020, or trump winning in 2020?

when bernie himself tells you that the best thing for his agenda is to vote for biden, do you know better than him when you don't listen to him?

I’m independent too, and I totally understand where you’re coming from. But I’d have to concede that it’s much easier to push a progressive platform with a Dem in office over a Repub. Even if this Dem isn’t exactly the best choice.

Real shyt, bitter losses like this has to strengthen progressives rather than discourage them. Our generation has every reason to be just as uncompromising as every one of those right wing movements. Especially as the social and economic pressures against us continues to mount.

Do you have evidence that the DNC by some miracle will have a light bulb moment after the elections and will actively push for progressive policies without compromising?

I’m sure the DNC has some 3D chess strategy to waltz Biden to the White House, just like they did with the primaries. They don’t need my vote. :manny:

so you're not serious about progressive policy at all :yeshrug: which is fine. but any rational human being would know that biden in office for 4 years will accomplish more for you than trump will

it's the....reason bernie is telling you to vote for biden.

His agenda was to try and reform the democratic party to save it. They can't be reformed, let them die.

Possibly 12 years of Obiden-bama brand democracy :hula:4 years of Trump + the death of the DNC.

Stab me :hula: shoot me.

How about I let the chips fall where they may, dems can lie in whatever bed they make and do what I can to make a third party viable to replace them when the rest of the country realizes they are being insulted.

Lol, I don’t think they’ll push for progressive policies at all. :russ:

I just think that between the two they might be easier to work with. And even regressing back to the pre 2016 status quo is good because it at least stalls for time while a real progressive movement can be formed.

And again, if nothin else, at least it’d help keep the Supreme Court from becoming too conservative.

Another topic entirely, but what is the plan of the Democrats if RBG dies before the election, and McConnell locks in a young conservative?

What these last 4 years has shown is the ability of the Supreme Court as an institution to serve as a means for the minority to oppress the majority. That problem needs to be fundamentally solved.

I'm sure the Rs will push Thomas to retire early if Biden looks to be close to sealing the election :unimpressed:

i actually agree with you :yeshrug: you know why? because progressives are gonna run another dynamic progressive in 2024, and then be utterly disappointed when they realize that 60 percent of the democratic party is moderate and their candidate loses

progressives should form a new party :ehh:
