I'm ready for that 3rd party anti-capitalist energy :yeshrug:

As long as we have to make our arguments from inside the white supremacist tent of the dem party we'll always be forced to water down our message and our vision. Give the people a clear choice and force them to stand for something.

:patrice:

Breh, I kinda feel like this is already the case. And the results ain't been pretty.

My Pops Forever RIP
Ayo, please leave the Bernie Bro smear out of this thread. As @tru_m.a.c once said, why do people come in a Sanders supporter thread to pop shyt? It makes you guys look desperate for attention.
I woulda rocked with Bernie over Biden, but I hate to say it, one of his biggest detriments was his stans. Not the supporters necessarily, but the hardcore fanatics who legit exist who you can’t tell shyt to. The only good thing that came from Bernie suspending his campaign is that those fukkbois are all up in their feelings, and that shyt is funny to me. They’re partly the reason why he had an insurmountable deficit.

To be honest, I think yall are underestimating how much success Progressives have had. Its a marathon, not a sprint.

Progressives have pretty successfully pushed the Democratic Party and its politicians far more left than they would be otherwise. The time for a Progressive nominee isn't now, but I think it will happen soon and within the framework of the Democratic Party. Just my opinion...

Prepare yourselves, Bernie Brehs.

Despite the fact that about 90% of us will vote for Joe Biden, we are going to be blamed for his loss to Trump. The centrists never learn. They turn on MSNBC and actually believe what they are being told. Consider what we have learned: The Democratic party's true purpose is to shut down any movement on the left and allow the fascists to take over.

Of course, all signs point to Trump indefinitely postponing the election, so, lmao

I was thinking about this earlier while watching Bernie's concession announcement.

People who voted for Biden primarily did so because they felt he was more "electable" (won't go into the ridiculous idiocy of that word and narrative again, we been, there done that a thousand times already).

But in the event that Biden loses the election, ZERO percent of Biden voters or supporters will give pause and think perhaps their initial assessment and reasoning was wrong or flawed.

This is all the more reason why I'm so apoplectic over this whole primary. By design, there can be no accountability in the event the Dems lose. Not by the voters and damn sure not by the party itself.

They are so Trumpian by that regard.

They will be given all the power and credit if they win and take none of the responsibility or blame if they lose.

Bernie should proud of what he's accomplished in only four years. It can't be undone and it won't be undone. He's the father of AOC and the rest of the new women reps. Things are looking up for that part of the party.

I'm 35 and make a little over 100k a year. Most progressive ideas don't pertain to me at this point in my life. Especially being in the state of Texas.

But as time has gone and things have gotten better for me financially, I've realized that my voting interest isn't really about me anymore. It's about my children and those less fortunate than myself. And I remember what it was like to be in that position of not having much.

So no, I wasn't rocking with Bernie and didn't rock with him on Super Tuesday. But I would have definitely supported in November of he'd win the nomination.

I’m cool with that in blue states but I can’t do that in swing states right now. The trump years have been awful for anyone in any sort of criminal defense or immigration work and public resources have been gutted and underfunded. Moreover, the people who need that energy the most are far divorced from that type of discourse. They’re just trying to survive day to day.

This is where I am with it as well. This country is heading in the wrong direction, it's like very obvious. Business and rich people have been catered to for too long. Please throw regular common folk a bone or a few before they tear this shyt to the ground. We are getting to the point they will actually have no other choice.

I know I’m talking about post suspension. Dore has already lost it calling Bernie a fakkit coward while having China agents on his show. I want to hear more :heh:

Part of this isn't true. If the Dems come out on top in November out to will be because Bernie supporters voted left.

And honestly they will deserve that credit. I don't think you can't publicly give them credit at that point.
