Independents don't win elections so he *has to* run as a democrat (his values/ideology line up more with democrats than republicans)

Bernie Sanders opponents in 2020:
democrats
republicans
the entire political and corporate establishment
wealthy class/donor class
corporations
corporate media (cnn, msnbc, fox, cbs, etc. etc.)

Bernie Sanders is a social democrat (he believes in running the country more like the rest of the first world instead of an ultra right laissez-faire economic system that favors those who are already in power). He's a populist.

His ideology:
  • more time off/higher wages (like they do in much of europe -- guaranteed paid time off)
  • fighting income inequality -- taxing the fvck out of the wealthy and corporations
  • more social programs for the down trodden, unlucky, the poor, etc.
  • green new deal to combat climate change (e.g. getting rid of old money in dirty energy and replacing it with green new energy)
  • he believes in a jobs guarantee
  • free public college
  • taking on the health insurance industry with medicare for all (free healthcare at the point of service for ALL as a human right -- point blank no caveats)
  • raising the minimum wage to $15/hour
  • abolishing private prisons
  • legalizing and taxing drugs
  • reforming the justice system (reducing the prison population and pardoning non violent criminals)
  • demilitarizing the police
  • getting money out of politics/restoring democracy

He's a peoples politician.

Fvck the DNC .. they are a party that fronts as a "people's party" but they take huge sums of money from the rich and powerful and corporations and then turn around and do their bidding at the expense of everyone else. Kamala Harris, Corey Booker, Joe Bidden, Hillary Clinton, Amy Klobuchar all fall into this category. That's how its been in washington since the 1980s (obama included).

The United States is the richest country in the history of the world but most people don't know it/feel it/see it in their daily lives because of a rigged system that has all of the money going to the top 1%.

Bernie Sanders is antithetical to all of this BS and is all about giving power back to the common folk and taking on the wealthy class and the rest of the political establishment.

True but all the debates are must watch tv tbh
No they will not. There should be a template of issues that most democrats need to tackle.

I am not interested in candidates answering sophomoric questions. Serious candidates deserve serious questions.

So I guess i'm kinda cool with Bernie Sanders but I think Tulsi Gabbard is better.

Anyhow, I think I was cooler with Bernie and AOC before than I am now, mainly because of the new green deal.
That thing is a fukkin stupid piece of nonsense.
It's the dumbest thing i've ever read about, and Bernie is a co-sponsor.

Firstly the new green deal infers it is all about climate change, ok cool i'm down with that, climate change requires immense attention now.
Then all this other nonsense becomes part of the new deal, nonsense meaning things that has nothing to do with climate change.
I mean how about some focus here, you will gain more support, obviously....
They bundled all these social programs that has nothing to do with climate change in there.
And they included puerto rico, which yes requires attention but in it's own initiative even though climate change had a hand in that disaster.

But not only that, did you know that at first the new green deal included that govt. would guarantee a minimum income for people that were UNWILLING TO WORK?
Then later AOC's team removed that from the website.
Ok it was removed but WTF????

"What if we make the world a better place? That would be terrible."
