Bernie Sanders’s Green New Deal, explained

I suspect that like M4A, this will be attacked by pointing at the cost and ignoring the existing costs if we don't change course. That said, this is the type of ambitious that actually acknowledges the warnings from climate scientists and we need that. I think this is a great look, but we'll see how hard everyone else tries to attack it.

Libs bytching about Bernie's climate plan not having nuclear or carbon taxes is :mjlol:

Look, Nuclear WAS the solution, 20 years ago. But we literally do not have the time to build out all the facilities needed to offset carbon emissions in a timeframe that works with Nuclear. we need more instant solutions.

TBH I wish he'd just say "I will destroy the fossil fuel industry" but I know why he won't, god willing in 24' AOC will run on that platform.

If Bernie was a candidate in Latin America :merchant:

Bankers and both political parties tried to overthrow FDR. I can only imagine what will happen if Bernie is position to win the primary. Please be safe Bern :lupe:

If he's assassinated the country will revolt. They know the only play they have is to make the establishment dems and repubs band together after he wins to keep him from doing anything and hope that they can silence the masses again.

They cannot. We are awake. And we demand our voices to be heard.

The US has even lost the technology to build large nuclear power plants, the main structures cannot be built in the US but need to be sub contracted to South Korea and Japan.

Supply chains are fukked up cause of monopolies, China, and the offshoring of industry. The military has to have parts made elsewhere mainly Japan cause industry has shriveled.

Their plan was to push Warren, split Bernie's support, and let Biden coast to the win.

And it isn't working at all.

They don't have the fukking balls to touch this man.

And they won't have the balls to resist him when he's the boss.

Reagan's era of terror is over.

We're back. fukk you if you don't like it.

So for those keeping score Bernie's released fairly detailed plans (Certain Warren heads would be losing their minds amping em) for:
- Criminal Justice Reform - Bernie Sanders’s criminal justice reform plan, explained
- Empowering the Labor Movement - Bernie Sanders’s ambitious plan to double union membership, explained
- Green New Deal - How Bernie Sanders would address climate change

And his M4A bill that some journalists tried to claim he'd altered is still perfectly in tact.
- Fact check: Did Bernie just backtrack on Medicare for All?

So if you care about reading policies and looking into the details, it's been a really good couple of weeks for Bernie. He's pushed out ambitious proposals that all give power to the electorate rather than the donors. I really feel like unbiased coverage of these bills would turn a lot of voters out; but they tried to twist the labor plan into an attack on his M4A bill...so I don't expect much fair coverage and they'll probably downplay the fact that he went deep on detail with a lot of this (which bothers me because the detailed policy thing is a valid reason to like Warren but Bernie doesn't get his due when he does the same).
