FaceID. It's seemless in day to day usage (logging into apps, filling out password data) and its faster than touchID on my 6 plus.
TouchID on the 6 phones was slow on the 6s and 7 it was so fast you couldn't even see your lock screen properly if you used the right finger on the home button.

so, for those who got it. whats yall favorite new feature of the phone?????

Face ID and the new gestures. To be honest I thought I would hate that shyt but I’m good now. But the first week I kept pressing my thumb on the bottom of the screen like I still had Touch ID... lol. Not and iPhone X feature but I’m glad we can record the screen now. Jail broken iPhones had that feature years ago.

fukking with this size too. I still wish they would get rid of these damn bezels though.

Sold my old iPhone for $450. Not bad. Final cost of this iPhone X will be about $700 after tax considering my US Bank card gets 5% off at Apple stores. If I can dump my old PS4 for $150 this iPhone out of pocket will cost me less than the Note8 did.

Got mine in today and haven’t put the device down yet:damn:

It’s a beautiful damn phone :ohlawd:

Went from a 7+ and the slightly narrower screen w/o bezel is much more practical. Easier to use w/1 hand.. no more trying to browse the web on a damn near tablet (I’ll probably end up coping the plus if they have one on the next release). OLED screen is super nice.

The Face ID works 99% of the time and it’ll only get even better with updates.

Gestures actually gives you a whole new user experience and you’ll pick em up pretty quickly and be moving around from app to app like a pro after while.

Haven’t used the device for a full day but battery seems a lot better than the 7+. I won’t know until I get a full day of browsing the Coli , checking Robinhood and Coinbase, snap chatting, tindering bumbling, IG’n and reading through twitter in:lawd:

New processor makes this phone quick as hell

If you’re locked into Apple then it’s a must have

Edit: especially if you’re on the monthly upgrade plan. With the rate that they release new phones and the non contract pricing structure it only makes sense to “lease” the phones as a sunken $50 cost. You’ll never pay off a device but you’ll always have the latest and greatest without worrying about resell prices or dropping all that cash at once on a phone

If you can, do the monthly payment plan breh, it makes more sense. You get no interest, and you already have a buyer for your old device at a set price without having to scramble around on the next release. Not to mention, you’re not having to spend 1.2 racks at once. Invest that money and who knows it could end up paying for your next phone or at least eating enough return on investment to cover the monthly cost

I put it on a no interest card, didn't want to open a new line of credit with apple(Citibank) plus I feel you can get more on the open market as apple is only going to give you 50% (the balance remaining) on the phone.

But yea if the swappa thing doesn't work out math wise ill just take my L and get on apple upgrade afterwards.

I've never actually sold my phone before the new announcements. I usually buy the new phone then sell the old. The iPhone 7 256GB was $850 at launch (I paid $750 with a Sprint promo) and I just sold it for $450. That's getting back about 52% of retail. Maybe you get 60% to 65% if you sell well in advance of the new phones releasing.

I like Face ID much more than Touch ID when opening apps. You just open the app and just look like normal at your phone and the security unlocks right away without having to unlock with your phone. It's basically like opening any regular app that doesn't require a login. Love it.

Used it with Apple pay last nigh at an ATM. Felt way more natural than I expected it.

I liked TouchID better for Apple Pay because it was one motion. Put your phone on the terminal with your finger on the home button and that's it.

Here you need to double press the side button and look at the phone then put it on the terminal

You didn't have to double click the home button to bring up apple pay? I always did. :jbhmm:
