The One X is a good device no doubt, but it doesn't help that it's only on one company in the US and the only other variant is the EVO 4G LTE which most people just see as the successor to the OG Evo, instead of the new flagship line from HTC. I'm not even gonna touch the droid DNA, One S and One XL/+ fiasco... They're still a mess.

They really need one hot flagship device kinda like how Samsung has the Galaxy S line. Dropping 3-4 different variants ain't a good look. They also need to rebuild Sense from the ground up.

Yup, my boy mentioned that when the One X dropped, along with the new EVO.

It just creates confusion in the marketplace. Samsung along with their marketing has captured the consumer's attention and everybody knows about the GS3 and the Galaxy line. HTC's line was the EVO, and people actually recognized that when the OG dropped and it was hot for a minute. THey should have just ran with that for all carriers...

yall acting like sprint and verizon didnt shut down HTC plans of having one phone on all carriers. Verizon owns the incredible line and sprint owns the EVO. They dotn give a damn about HTC streamlining their product line. They want names people are familiar with. Samsung have sales to back up their Galaxy brand.

OTA Update Coming To T-Mobile's Galaxy Note II Beginning December 19th, Brings Multi-Window And More

nexusae0_image_thumb54.png

Beginning on Wednesday, December 19th, T-Mo's Note II is next in line to receive multi-window in an OTA update. This will bump the device up to build T889UVALK8 - which is still Android 4.1.1 - and also brings a solution for an Exchange calendar sync issue, as well as an issue that prevented users from being able to swipe through emails in Gmail.

The Play Store Is Holding A Daily Holiday Promo Through 1/1/13 In The US

Google's holding a holiday promo of sorts over the next couples of weeks (and it seems to be US-only), and every day will bring a new "surprise" on the Play Store. Through the 1st of January, every day a new promotional offer will appear on the Play Store. Today's offer isn't exactly earth-shattering - $35 off a hotel booking in the Hotel Tonight app (a same-day hotel booking service), but we expect at least some of the offers during this promotion will be worth taking advantage of. That's all we really know for now, and we'll be sure to keep you in the loop about worthwhile deals during this promo in the coming weeks.

For a limited time, Amazon Wireless is offering some of Sprint's top devices for cheap. This deal only applies to new customers, so if you're already on Sprint, this doesn't apply. But if you've been considering switching carriers, this may be a good time to do so.

For a short time and with a new 2-year contract, you can get deals on the following devices:

* Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB, Blue/White ($0.01)
* Samsung Galaxy S3 32GB, Blue/White ($49.99)
* Samsung Note 2, Titanium/White ($99.99)
* LG Optimus G ($49.99)

They keep fukking up. I say just let them fail. :manny:

The good thing about android from a consumer perspective is that, for each OEM that fails another will gladly rise to take its place while learning from their mistakes. HTC and LG kept fukking up for so long that they allowed Samsung to not only cut in line, but also steal their lunch and move on to taking complete control of the cafeteria. SONY has shed Ericcson name and have flushed all their garbage phones out of the pipeline and by the looks of it they're gonna be the only bringing the heat to Samsung. The end of 2013 should be a Samsung/SONY 1/2 as the top android OEMs.

Yeah Im telling dude if SONY wakes up from their long nap they will be a problem. They have the best camera, good hardware and decent build quality. They need google to come rescue them. Samsung blew past other OEM. They cant be touched. Their brand is proven. HTC are specs whore who run to the market to show off one new feature on their phone. WTF is this DNA crap. A 1080P phone with nothing behind it. NOTE 2 is a hybrid device. It comes packed with Features that enhanced the experience :leon:

HTC M7 rumored to replace One X in February with 4.7-inch, 468ppi screen and Sense 5
:lawd:

Rumors began appearing earlier this month that HTC was developing a new flagship smartphone codenamed the M7, and the always-prolific @evleaks has followed-up with its own details. As reported on Unwired View, the M7 is said to improve upon HTC's current flagship Android phone, the One X, nearly across the board: with a 4.7-inch HD display at 468ppi (reportedly called a SoLux display), a 1.7GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and LTE and HSDPA radios. The M7 will also reportedly carry an improved camera with a 13-megapixel sensor and an f/2.0 lens. Evleaks says that the M7 should be headed to Verizon and Sprint, and that there's a possibility it could be the first smartphone since the HTC Touch Pro 2 to be offered on the four largest US carriers. We'll find out soon enough — that is, if the phone is revealed at Mobile World Congress as rumored.

That's true. It is the carriers fault for wanting exclusivity from phone OEMs, and strong arming them into making devices for themselves... but the other OEMs were sitting around twiddling their thumbs when Samsung launched the first Galaxy S. A phone that was given different names and different design on all 4 carriers, the carriers basically butchered/dictated what their version of the Galaxy S should look like and sure Samsung caved, but Samsung made sure they ALL had a "Galaxy S" logo on the back. The phone went on to be a success. Its successor, the Galaxy S II was butchered somewhat, but to a lesser extent but they all had the "Galaxy S II" logo on the back. Verizon even decided not to carry the GS2, which turned out to be a massive hit. The 3rd time around it was Samsung's turn to play hard ball and now the same exact phone is on ALL 4 carriers and it's the best selling device behind the iPhone. In the 3 years it took Samsung to get where they're at now, what were the other OEMs doing?

@kayo$ excellent points. HTC are a biitchmade company. No way they should of allowed sprint to butcher the one series. Droid DNA is just HTC being a p*ssy. Samsung had a smart business plan from the gate. HTC have no clue what they are doing. Sense is :flabbynsick: and these fukkboys wont change it. Look at moto and samsung latest software compared to GB looking sense 4+

whats the point of the one x+ and droid dna....they are putting people ion 2 year contracts. Dont Oem think about shyt like that. Why release the one x+ then later release the dna then later a M7....

You're wrong, Rbk. HTC has been dropping heat with their last few phones but they are constantly being overlooked by Samsung. Everything on HTC is great,from build quality, screen, camera,etc.

Sense and Touchwiz are almost a wash.

If you look at some of the top phones being reviewed against, the HTC one x is alway there for comparisons. And that DNA has been getting lots of love from reviewers as well.

IMO, HTC should just focus on windows phones because they aren't gona get any love from Android anymore.
