What's up with Android updates fukking up batteries?

I don't have to worry about updates tho because my note 5 won't be getting any

I asked at the Android spot..if I update the Note 4 to 6 Marshmellow, will it fukk up the battery? LOL

I remember updating my Note 4 to Marshmallow. The standby time I said was amazing but the SOT was absolutely trash.

No more than 2.5 hrs, and i'm being generous.

There's a beta program on Nexus devices where you sign up to get the latest updates for them. They aren't the final release. All I know is my battery life is trash now after upgrading.

Battery was 100% 3 hours ago, now it's at 53 with light usage. Only been on the Coli and Instagram with an hour phone call.

I'm in the beta program too, but my battery life hasn't depleted like that. Is just started happening to you? The main issue I have with 7.1.1 is not having night mode.

I've been noticing it lately, but before I got on 7 and up the battery life was great on this phone. I googled it and I'm not the only person experiencing bad battery life since trying 7.1.1

You might have to leave the beta program until it fully releases .... I think I might do it to just in case my battery starts draining like yours

Yeah, but doesn't that mean I'll have to basically factory reset the phone in order to do so?
