I send animated gifs over hangouts pretty regularly.

Unless there's something else I'm not understanding here.

Unless the other party has hangouts they're not seeing it...and isn't it just their animated emojis? Can you pull a gif off the web and send it?

Yeah I use it daily almost. Way better than skype except they haven't added group video yet.

Don't know what the hell I did, but after rooting this Note 4 the standby time has become GOD like. Only 1% drain overnight, whereas the Note 7 drained 10-15% overnight

Basically everyone I know has and uses hangouts.

I pull gifs and send them all the time.

Through a server tho....the recipient get it from a 5 digit number like spam unless they choose to download Allo.

were they animated In the messanger when the user opened them. I saw a bytch with an iphone 10 open her messenger and the animation was already animating. Then i looked at this flabby android os like

This explains a lot. I don't remember which update it was that screwed up gifs but one day they just stopped working. It's why I used Google messenger now
