Sequels usually have me very hesitant, but this turned out pretty good. Sound design was fantastic, and the opening sequence was probably my favorite out of them all. I agree with the echoes towards the shades of The Last of Us — the imagery, color palette, and score made it feel like I was running that game back at times and it was honestly the closest thing to the game that I’ve seen on the big screen.

Cons? Eh, same as the first iteration. I’m still tired of seeing these Stranger Things-esque monsters, but the film built its tension so well to the point where I was soaked into the story and didn’t mind them by the end.

The ending was a bit abrupt and I wish it could’ve settled into the story a little bit longer, but this property is well on its way to provide a great modern horror trilogy.

I thought the first one was straight but I didn't see the hype. This one, I get the hype. First 10 minutes was intense. Though I didn't "jump", it was alot scenes that caught me off guard. Mainly with how loud it was. The way the kid actors were able to capture emotions without speaking was nice as well. I like the mix up with fast pace action and slow, creepy stuff like the 1st movie as well. Now, it was def some boring dialogue and I had to fight sleep. But overall this was a worthy sequel. This was actually what I thought the first movie was going to be like. Nice camera work too.

Def like when that little girl shot alien in the head. And he just ate that. That was intense. But overall I just like the jump scares. It was really well done. But that opening scene with the fast pace action was dope. It didn't feel like the first one. Sorta like "War of the Worlds" with Tom Cruise. But way better

Oh yeah, I don’t dislike the ending at all and I see why it was done like that now. I was just taken aback by the suddenness of it. Movie is already marinating better in my head after getting out of the theater. Best horror sequel in awhile really....about damn time.

It’s great that we can actually have a horror sequel that’s coherent in the story it’s telling and isn’t the general half-assed, churned-out cash grabs we’re used to seeing. Really looking forward to what Krasinski has in store for directing well beyond this trilogy.

One last thing. The rules on how they killed people was frustrating in the 1st one. This time, I didn't really feel that. It seemed pretty consistent on on the alien's limitations.

Also. They made John's character death fell still memorable and has value for reasons I won't spoil. They didn't nerf the aliens.

Generally with sequel they either nerf the alien badly or present them in more numbers... They kept the Alien on equal footing.

It feels like a fully realized world with an excellent attention to detail. They didn't fall into boring tropes.

Well, the biggest thing that I notice is that the Alien kills for either for sport... Or maybe their organic make up... That sounds gives constant pain and they go through any means to silence it.
