First movie I’ve seen in theaters since the pandemic and it was worth it. Constant tension from start to finish, jump scares that actually felt earned, setup and payoff, all that. The Double Toasted dudes said it felt like a movie Hitchcock would make in this era and I agree. The suspense was incredible. I’d say it was even better than the first movie

they are way too old
41 and 38 aren’t too old, almost every marvel actor is 35+

side note this movie was pretty good, I liked it better than the first. Definitely some jumps and intense moments, no real plot holes that stand out. If you liked the first you’ll love this one (unless you only liked the first because of John Krasinski in which case you’ll really like the first few minutes)

Saw this last night and it’s good if not better then part 1. Only thing I didn’t like was how it abruptly ended but it looks like they setting up for Part 3 which could be the conclusion.

Really fukks with this..

Sequels usually have me very hesitant, but this turned out pretty good. Sound design was fantastic, and the opening sequence was probably my favorite out of them all. I agree with the echoes towards the shades of The Last of Us — the imagery, color palette, and score made it feel like I was running that game back at times and it was honestly the closest thing to the game that I’ve seen on the big screen.

Cons? Eh, same as the first iteration. I’m still tired of seeing these Stranger Things-esque monsters, but the film built its tension so well to the point where I was soaked into the story and didn’t mind them by the end.

The ending was a bit abrupt and I wish it could’ve settled into the story a little bit longer, but this property is well on its way to provide a great modern horror trilogy.
