Re open the Maxx Crosby talks. You can’t just let this run slowly leak away after next year, there needs to be some sort of urgency. If Brad Holmes is the drafter we think he is, trade the first and try to get a star

Sewell and Ragnow are still young and all pros. Mahogany has played great as a rookie at guard. I can see a decline in Decker but they already have a guy their developing to replace him. They have one of the best oline coaches in NFL. Not worried about oline

Cowboys went into salary cap hell and couldn’t improve their roster. And 49ers were also decimated with injuries like Lions

Lions probably have a couple more years to be in championship window. Hutch, Kerby, Branch, Jamo, Laporta, Gibbs are all gonna get monster contracts especially Hutch. They wont be able to keep everyone. But that's in a few years

Ragnow considered retirement last year, he or decker may surprise us

I'd imagine the decision on Kerby will come relatively soon. Doubt he wants to play the last year of his deal without a deal, and I don't blame him.

We essentially have about 58mil in cap space for 2025. That's enough for a Carlton Davis extension, Kerby and some other extensions (Barnes?) plus new free agents. Can also do the Hutch extension. I will say this though. I love Brad Holmes and think he did a great job with the roster but we CANNOT go into this offseason under valuing pass rush again. It would be malpractice at this point. Obviously no one saw the Hutch injury coming, nor do you go into any season expecting your elite guys to go down...but you need legitimate options. Our #2 was a guy who played two games (Davenport). Who has a history of injuries. Thus forcing us to trade for Zadarius Smith. I assume Smith will be back and think he'll be great with Hutch sucking up so much attention from o-lines. But we need more than that. Whether via draft (Landon Jackson, Jack Sawyer, etc) or FA...something has to be done. And I have no issue with bringing Davenport back btw. But he should be near the bottom of the d-line chart as rotational depth.

Dunno if the next DC will play as much man, but if we continue to do that...we need pass rush.

Dunno how anyone could watch this season and still be on the "trade your 1sts" wave. If we had done that this year, Maxx would be on IR and we'd be out of our 1sts for the next two years. Dude literally got hurt a couple weeks after we had those arguments. This team has too many long term needs to be flipping 1sts. Alim will be out for at least what, 8-10 weeks of the season? I'd like to have my 1st in case a DT falls into our laps at 28. Or an edge rusher. Or a guard (or tackle). Holmes is a great drafter but the reality is that the best players are going to go in the top 100. I'd prefer to keep as many of those picks as possible, especially the first rounders.

The roster is good enough to win big. We have the cap space and draft picks to shore up weaknesses and replace the guys who won't be back (Iffy? Zeitler?). The problem is gonna be that there's zero room for error because our schedule is hard as fukk.

After 2025, Goff goes from 32 million to 69 million, ASB goes from 13 million to 33 million, Penei goes from 9 million to 28 million, McNeil goes from 6 million to 28 million. Things are going to change after next season regardless.

Also your last paragraph contradicts your first one. You think a rookie at 30 gonna make a difference when there’s zero room for error? Our defense wasn’t really good enough before the injures I doubt flop bytch jack sawyer will make any sort of a difference

You don’t just find edge rushers.

They're highly paid and scarce for a reason . Their lions can go into the offseason targeting them in FA and the Draft, but so are 25 other teams .

A Crosby or Garrett trade would be rash and irresponsible. You have Hutch and Smith on the edge .. A legit nfl rotational DE is needed not a star . get chase young , Mack

Hutch will give you 14 sacks ,Smith with Hutch’s presence along with Alim will eat as well.

The left side of the oline is the bigger issue . Decker and Glasgow is slowing down . Mahogany can probably step in but is Zeitler coming back ? Manu is the wildcard there.

Their identity is built on the line and they need solidifying before they slip .

The revenge tour was probably a bad idea. They peaked too early. If they weren’t running up the score on teams they might have been healthier come playoff time. KC wins ugly but play the right way. Lions needed to be humbled honestly.
They was feeling themselves to much. I thought it was funny but st Brown kee keeing on his pod, kerby and them flexing on the jumbo tron at damn near every home pistons game, commercials for sonic and knuckles, Jamo doing whatever the fukk he doing at coney every night. They lost they identity

Had to turn my phone off. It just wasn't meant to be. Too many injuries on defense.

Washington doesn't have a complicated offense but when the DLine and secondary is that decimated a championship can't be won.

Sucks is that Homes addressed the weaknesses in the offseason and injuries did us in.

I don't see Ben Johnson as a good HC. I don't believe he can lead a locker room full of men. Glenn can but I worry about his stubbornness.

I would love for Glenn to do more zone at times. It's too much over the course of a season to ask DBs to play so much man

Agreed. Don't turn the ball over 4 times and they win that game, even with the defense being shyt.

They win last night, yes, but they're not winning the next 2 with that defense. You're not scoring 45 or 50 against Philly or KC

Rams knew they had to surround Stanford with an all star team to where even his worst inclinations couldn’t fukk it up. Goff isn’t stafford. Why isn’t that the same here?
