Three things I'll never get over:

1.) Starting the game with Monty.
2.) Starting the second half with Monty.
3.) The Jamo pass play when they were driving to get within three.

Warranted or not, I personally believe Johnson and Glenn each having one foot out there door contributed to their poor game plans. I say this knowing Goof had a bad game but he also should not have had 40 pass attempts.

I'll give Glenn a pass since he literally had nothing left beyond blitzing. Johnson gets no benefit of the doubt. Am I gonna say he was too focused on another job? No. He interviewed last year during the playoffs too, didn't stop us from getting to the NFC Championship game.

Johnson has always had issues with situational football. The 2023/2024 season when we struggled in the 3rd quarter? So much of that boiled down to him making terrible calls the minute we got near mid field instead of doing everything to ensure we scored (FG or TD). We had so many dumb trick plays or weird calls right around the 50 yard mark,. Looking back on this season that idiotic pass play to Sewell in the Chicago game really summed him up to me. You're in Chicago territory, you need to score...and you're rolling your All Pro tackle out for a pass play (and exposing his knees) instead of just....running the offense.

Flip side Philly just punches you in the mouth over and over. 3rd and 1? You know exactly what they're gonna do every time, and it rarely get stopped. Whereas we're out here in empty backfield on 3rd and 1 because "well we're gonna go for it on 4th down anyway." I'm glad that whoever replaces him will have Campbell looking over his shoulder more, and I expect more run heavy play calling.

You could tell the Broncos offense was solid but was missing a key component: elite RBs. Wouldn't be stunned at all if the Broncos take Jeanty in the draft.

All I want from the offense is more run plays, more crossing routes, and less bullshyt. The weapons and o-line ensure it's not gonna fall off a cliff. Oh and I def think we need to draft a big X receiver at some point in April. Goff is more comfortable when he has a big body to throw dig routes to.

I'm not worried about the offense, these hires look good. Curious to see if we add more coaches on defense to help Shep. Ravens hired a first time DC last season, who was also a former LB. They struggled a lot early but from week 13-18 had the #1 defense in the league. Not saying the same will happen here, just that calling plays isn't easy and takes time. We have the pieces to make it work, once guys get healthy. No Alim or Rodrigo until November or December, I'd imagine.
