Trust me, I get it. If I had life/long prison term and a law got signed that released me, I'd be forever grateful. I would be supportive of whomever it was that made that happen for me. But coaching others to also support that person? I would not do that for a person like Trump without being able to explain some of gains that my community would have if they did show up for him.

Nah he wasnt coached. He was political before he went to jail. Its probably how he got on their radar to even end up in jail in the first place. I'm very close to the one I decided to pull to the side and talk to. He wasnt budging. I was even asked him if he thought if any of the Dem candidates were elected, would they roll back the First Step Act. He said he didnt they would but it took a Republican to pass a law that gave him his freedom. As long as they keep freeing people like him, he thought was the way to go. His freedom meant more to him then any negative I tried to highlight about Trump. Luckily we're a solid blue state.
