In a vacuum:

The announcement of the 5 million to Abrams while Bloomberg was catching he’ll on S&F was dubious. His explanation on it is light and I haven’t see her address it either.

I can’t see her being a viable VP pick at this point. Good luck with that when she’s only been a state legislator.

:skip: i don't follow. that quote is me saying beto would have been a good VP for warren

as a side note though, im :mjlol: at dudes suggesting abrams should have turned down that 5 million. look at how many people she registered to vote since 2016, you really have a problem with her taking 5 million dollars? gimme a break
I don’t think anyone had an issue with the money. It was probably the shots she fired afterwards AND the timing. I’m aware of how deep Bloomberg is in donation efforts to various organizations. He usually expects an endorsement or backing in return. But she is doing great work registering voters. I’m not mad at her. And I also understand why she won’t run for senate with Trump on the ballot. She is playing a smart political game.

Trust your gut. He'll be the worst general election candidate since Dukakis.

Bernie Sanders is not losing 40 states to Donald Fukking Trump.

Seems like Bernie is the choice of most but I think he gets beat easily by Trump. Just a bad candidate field. I hope I'm wrong but I have a bad feeling about Bernie.

Every candidate has flaws. But a juggernaut fundraising operations, a dedicated base of support, consistent polling over Trump, and the polarization of blue states and red states gives Bernie many positives.

23-38 year olds are the biggest voting bloc i.e. the millennial generation as well.

Shoutout to Obama for chilling in the cut like he said he would. He has shown no signs of stepping on anyone's toes and is just waiting for the royal rumble to end to endorse. Dude was getting killed over unverified articles just a couple weeks ago.

Honestly I didn't pay that any attention, he already said from the jump he wasn't getting involved in the primary.

The question is how actively involved he should be in the general. One one hand maybe he can help rally support for the Dems, but on the other hand it didn't work with Hillary and Trump loves nothing more than bashing Obama.

Hillary was a tough sell because we knew they didn’t like each other.

I think Hilary had too many issues for Obama to make the difference. Fact is no one else in the Democratic party has both the charisma and the name recognition of Obama. The more he's out there for whatever candidate the better.

i think that bernie is gonna have an awful downballot effect :yeshrug:

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/article240147903.html

“If he’s at the top of the ticket in 2020, it’s going to be a bad year for Democrats in Florida,” said state Rep. Javier Fernandez, a Cuban-American attorney campaigning to flip what should be a competitive Miami-area state Senate seat from red to blue.

i'll be voting for bernie, but im not particularly enthusiastic about what he's proposing. i'm middle class and i do alright. so while i'll vote for him, there's gonna be millions of people who say "you know what, im not ready to vote for this shyt that he's proposing". and they'll either stay home or vote for trump on the sly

So I said she was suggested as a compromise pick. You found literally one person in there propping her up in a way that contradicted that. Everyone else suggested her as a compromise. Now why don’t you post those entire back and forth? We know why, you’re a disingenuous fukk. I find it funny that the same group of weirdos dap each other up. It’s like I see that @wire28 dapped you up and I know that I’m in for some bullshyt. You’re really over here stretching reaalllllly far to make it seem like Abrams was a leftist champion.

I see why @Mephistopheles put you on ignore. There’s no reasoning with someone like you with a weird ass vendetta. No one is against Abrams fighting voter suppression. No one would take issue with what @storyteller just said. You guys literally spend all day finding the same 8 people to be mad at and that shyt is annoying. You attribute this false maximalist position to anyone opposed to you and then argue against that without any nuance. I only comment because I wish you would all shut the fukk up for all our sakes but the best approach is to just ignore you I guess.

My fault, I gave you too much credit. I’ll just toss you all on ignore.
Nah. I pointed out how absurd it was for posters on this site to dub her as an opportunist and untrustworthy.

I found that position to be absurd considering she ran as a progressive, is seen as a progressive, and is well liked across the board.

This, again, falls in line with a pattern of behavior that pops up on this site where a certain group of people jump off the cliff with really hot takes as soon as someone does something they view as a threat to Bernie.

The fact that me criticizing stupid Bernie bro takes upsets you is something you have to deal with.

But please, place me on ignore. I'm sure next week you'll be quoting me again because you feel like I was mean to a Bernie bro. :coffee:

dudes in here are REFUSING to apply what we know about the american people, to bernie's campaign

which is: once the right wing machine starts its smear of bernie as a communist who's taking "your money", he's toast

-the average american isn't gonna look at the breakdown of M4A and how it could save money, all they're gonna hear is "cuban hospitals" :dead:

-the average american is NOT going to respond well to "trump cut your taxes, bernie is running on raising them", which is....true

Every candidate doesn't have multiple flaws that a majority of the country view negatively. Also bruh, he's currently a push w/ Trump in the swing states. This prior to Trump unleashing his war chest on him...seriously think about that for a sec.

He'll make a bunch of young people feel good for the next 9 months, and then lose comfortably to Trump in November.

I told dudes this many months ago and they responded with polls...from months ago...

We been told ya'll, Americans will respond more positively to tax cuts even if that shyt only results in an $50 extra in their paychecks

THEY WANT TO BE fukkED...then complain about getting fukked...
