I missed this reply. No offense is gonna compare to a prime Kelce and Tyreek with little film on reserve. Once they traded him for younger defensive pieces, the offense was always gonna take a step back. Last yr he had arguably the worst WR corps in the league, so the team played ball control. This yr they invested heavily into receivers, but the top two were out until Hollywood literally just came back. Not to mention he’s been hit and sacked on another level up until they shuffled the line and put the LG at LT.
But my point was they haven’t been healthy up until the last couple wks when Hollywood finally came back, and if you still don’t think the offense has looked different you straight up not watching the games. He’s even opened up more opportunity for Worthy who’s been lowkey one of the best rookies on offense just from the past month’s productivity. I mean Butker literally missed an XP when they had 29, so again that 30 point mark doesn’t mean shyt when you actually watch the games. They could have easily put 30 on the Steelers, and a few other games.
But even before Hollywood came back, like that tweet said, the offense hasn’t really been ass since DHop came in. If you wanna say it was mid by the numbers then fine, but they aren’t playing for points if you have a top 5 scoring defense and you don’t have half the offense you came into the season with.
nikkas gonna be surprised when they turn up in the playoffs, and especially when Rice, Hollywood, and Worthy are the receivers next season, with Hopkins still possibly trudging along. Not to mention Noah Grey been taking over Kelce’s role (obviously not to the same level).
But as far as MVP, he was still a betting favorite damn near halfway through the season with his mid stats, just because of the record. If he puts up an average season for him, along with 15-1, he’s obviously in the discussion. Not saying he would win it, but Jared damn Goff was in discussion most of the season. It’s not a stretch to say Pat would be
