At the beginning of mean streets
So the War on Drugs and the prison boom made a large portion of BW adopt this kind of mindset:

You know damn well that woman is crazy, and not representative of womanism. Notice I said "womanism" and not "feminism". She calls herself "feminista jones". They're just disgruntled so called feminists (which goes both ways btw, there are many disgruntled black men) and you know it. Stop being intellectually dishonest if you know Sojourner Truth and Ida Wells advocated for black women, as well as black as for black people as a whole, and did not believe in the poisonous rhetoric of idiots like feminista jones and other twitter keyboard activists. :comeon:

The idea that "Black men don't care, beat us, can't provide thus are not our allies" is deeply engrained.
Black males don't beat black women (at a rate higher than other races I might add)? Black males aren't apathetic to black female issues? Black males don't have a history of not being able to provide? The truth is that you all know nothing about black feminism/ womanism.

Lol isn't that a common tactic of white supremacists to take the actions of one individual, and try to ascribe them to an entire group? Not to mention the only thing wrong with those tweets is that FeministaJones is a rude butthole.

You'd have to ask them. I probably don't fall in line with their ideology though. I'd fall more in line with Ida Barnett Wells, because I'm married, I have children, and my husband provides for me. I also believe man is the leader of the household, I'm more of a stay at home mother and believe my role is more tied to child rearing. It's not a majority opinion when it comes to feminism/womanism, most feel a woman should be more independent.

Agree to disagree. It's the internet, it's not like he was in her physical space giving her unsolicited advice. She's doing too much.

What is there to ask? We see the picture she attempts to draw daily :mjpls:

Black men are Black women's primary enemy right? :mjpls:

I don't agree with her ideology or stance, so stop trying to paint her as the only opinion when it comes to advocating for black women. Advocating for black women doesn't mean it's at the expense of black men. We need to stop silencing each other's issues because it affects us all.
