Cabrera looks like any of us at the plate right now.

Stanton in LF batting 3rd, Torres 4th, Carpenter to DH batting 6th and I do not want to see Locastro batting - especially late - in any series again.

let's keep a buck. Boone only let Locastro hit cuz he conceded defeat. He treated a 2 run deficit like a 12 run deficit which may or may not be fair given this lineup.

But next year and beyond. Volpe or Peraza must hit leadoff once they're entrenched.

In a perfect world, the lineup by 2024 is

2B Peraza
SS Volpe
RF Judge
1B Muneta Murakami
DH Stanton
LF Dominguez
3B Cabrera (or whoever they sign)
C Trevino
CF Bader

Atlanta and probably LA losing is a very bad thing for the Yanks, because it gives legs to the Cashman "Playoffs are a crapshoot" quote, which he'll sure use as a deflection fo why he doesn't put forth the best roster available.
