So their actual debut, two weeks prior, can't be held against them? :hmm:

You already know the epiphany of this thread, which is that the debuts of each show had viewers that were never going to stay, but you go ahead and continue to argue in bad faith.

Ol' "I have an agenda, but swear I really don't" ass clown. And you have the nerve to call someone else a troll, with your Fox News spin.
It can count if you want. But all wrestling have declining 2nd hours which drags an overall rating down.

There was no wrestling competition that night so i was trying to make an equal comparison. AEW ratings would probably be higher if it didnt go head to head with NXT every week.

AEW might still be at a 1.4 if it was 1 hour who knows.

Nice try at trying to take me down with your nonsense. You have never been able to debate me.

Lift up your members of forums dont use all your power to try to act cool and negative.

If we're going to keep it 6 more than 94, AEW has been a ratings failure since the first week. If people are as sick and tired of WWE as they claim to be, and are as thirsty for a big pro wrestling alternative as they claim to be...then AEW should be doing no less than 4 to 5 million viewers off rip. Supposedly there's all these wrestling fans out there flapping in the breeze. They don't rock with anything under Vince's umbrella and they're all so desperate for something new and different right? So the question is...where they at? You're hearing every excuse in the book for why they're under performing though. As if pro wrestling is this new television concept and audiences don't know how to respond to it. FOH.

AEW not putting out the huge numbers I mentioned (and not building on those numbers week to week) tells us two things:

1. Ain't no boom period coming. Wrestling isn't hot like it was and never will be.

2. People saw AEW and aren't feeling it like that.

Sorry if you aren't used to hearing people spit that real. If the truth hurts, you ain't living right. Dap me up and tell your mama you love her.

You wild for the bold part. Did you look at the chart on the OP? No one on cable is getting 4 to 5 million viewers on a Wednesday night, even NBA regular season hovered at 1 million viewers.

Only the hardest of the hardcore are watching anything on TV live, which these numbers released are based on.

I like the fact that WWE has some form of competition in AEW because it's something different. Although I must admit that NXT had the better show this week hands down.

AEW felt like the same stuff from last week. Also, they are eventually going to shoot themselves in the foot with the time limit shyt. The women's division I'm not really sold on.

One thing is for sure, WWE is going to have to seriously do something about RAW and maybe USA will force them to cut it back to 2 hrs at some point. I refused to watch it this week frankly because... I'm tired of the BS and Smackdown on FOX isn't much better.

Still dont get why were fighting about this but, cool. Y'all cook. I still need to watch both AEW and NWA this week and I'm excited about both :takedat:
I dont watch tv..I stream...doesnt matter to me. It's just funny when certain champions fail or when they justify overpaying Brock when he means nothing to ratings or putting asses in seats.

A lot of people stream nowadays. I haven't had cable since Roku came out 6 years ago. Been streaming PPVs for over a decade too (shout out to Justin.tv)

all that pandering is what ruined TNA.

AEW is doing great so far.
if it aint broke, don't fix it.

Pandering to who? Casual fans or hardcores?

The way I see it is there’s a good balance that can be achieved. There’s a good and bad way to do things, TNA went and got so many ex WWE stars to the point it was excessive and a lot of them didn’t have that much value but were still on the payroll. You can still do things to bring casuals in though, look at when Mike Tyson came in WWE, it was done well and had a lot of publicity. If didn’t hurt the product it just shined more light on their story, it only ended up making Austin a bigger star in the end.

AEW is doing well but I think should always be trying to improve and grow. Complacency is a killer too, WCW saw that during the Bischoff era.

Needs to do things to grow, a big way they can do that and the fundamental way is getting their charecters and storylines hot. They aren’t where they want to be yet, it’s still very early and if and when they are should look to maintain and grow, but they are a long way from where they want to be, a huge way. They should be doing all they can to grow their audience. Too early to judge them yet but in a year to a year a 6 month would like to see a lot of progress.
