I’m down with monitors they same price as pleads if you get a 4K with high refresh rate but got hdr worst than budget tvs

Yea I'm off new monitors for the time being. They seem relatively stagnant. I got my 1440p Predator for monitor gaming and my 4k LG for everything else. If the 8k is equivalent to the 4k offerings, I'm good with sticking with LG OLEDs, especially now that they're embracing G-Sync they made that 48" CX too; makes me think they're ready to make a move

120+fps at 4K. I'm only a 34" ultrawide(3440X1440)

That 3080 is mines on the 17th. Gonna be at Microcenter EARLY.

I JUST upgraded to a 1440p monitor 2 months ago. Im not upgrading to a 4k monitor no time soon. But i am upgrading my tv later this year to a 4k tv. With the 3080 whats gonna be the best way to do tv gaming from my PC so i can get those 4k visuals. Would it just be getting a long ass hdmi cable from my pc to my tv? Or will "Gamestream" output at 4k?

Get a long enough HDMI. Also make sure it's fast enough, and current spec. Probably wanna go ahead and get HDMI 2.1 so you can do 4k 120 with HDR

so far it's been used pretty sparingly in games, because it's so performance heavy. devs can use it more with these new cards. Cyberpunk probably gonna be crazy

will it actually be realized in games though?
devs will always start w/ lowest common denominator

it can just be graphics options that you can turn off, turn up to ultra, etc

Crysis was the best looking game I've ever seen the I first saw it

Hardly anyone had a PC that could run crysis in high settings. It was developed for technology that wasn't quite affordable to the mass yet.

I have no plans to play at 4K and running this game at 3440x1440p keeps me above 100fps on my 2080 already...but this power increase is fukking insane
