I think what I'm going to wind up doing is buying a 3090 and just holding onto the card, and then eventually pick up everything else afterwards :pachaha:. I don't think I want to gamble on a price increase after the initial batch and I'll just hope the damn thing isn't DOA.

Just sold my Rtx 2070 Super for 375 on EBay. Dumbasses still trying to get $400+ for it when 2080supers are also going for $400-500.

I might cop a 3070 next year, I need that RTX swag on my main PC and will put my 1660 on my work one. But I feel like the 8gb VRAM is a bit low no ? Maybe a 3070 TI might come with 16gb in 2021 hopefully with a price tag between the 3070 and 3080.

I am buying a 3080 but i am keeping my 2080 super for backup purposes. The only thing that i have to decide is whether i get a 4k gaming monitor.

:ohhh: 3070ti is looking real good. Might have to kiss the 1070ti goodbye in 2021.

I'll probably upgrade late 2021/early 2022. I got a 1070 and its about time to do an upgrade. Looking at getting to 3080. Hopefully price doesn't rise that much.

Can any of yall bruhs help me out. I've been wanting to build a powerful PC for a minute but I got this basic desktop tower for work a couple years back -

Would I better off just building a whole new PC or what else would I need to get to if I plan to get 3080? I dont mind spending around 2k

If ur going to go prebuilt is go to nzxt.com. They give good parts at the regular prices. Only thing is they charge 100 for the labor of building it, but it also comes with 2 years Warranty on all parts

Exactly. Trying to upgrade these computers that were built for average use would be useless. If the 3080 could even fit in the case, the power supply is not strong enough, and one you would need may not eve fit the case. Then the CPU is the big bottleneck and since the motherboard in that computer can not even accommodate a 8th gen Intel CPU, you would need to upgrade that. Just build a new PC but you should get at least a 2K gaming monitor if you do not have one, otherwise all of the power would go to waste.
