I built my new pc in June. Was just waiting for the new cards to drop to complete it

the 3090 is about $300 more than i was expecting but I still might get it

I need to see a comparison between the 3080 and 3090 to see if it worth spending more than double the money

Might have to consider that 3070 unless I can come up with some extra finances and get the 3080. Whole line looks nice tho. Definitely be an upgrade over my 1080. Might hold off until early next year before doing any upgrades tho.

When I really think about it, I'd have to invest at least $800 in a worthy monitor to even see the difference that upgrading my current gpu (2080) would make :francis:

If anything, the money would probably be better spent on buying a 10 bit wide color gamut 2560x1440 monitor with good color accuracy, I would get more out of my 2080 and still be able to run all the games in 2.5k with zero issues. Frankly all the 4k video editing shyt I do runs flawlessly on my current rig so copping a 3080 would simply be gaming & framerate related... do y'all think Cyberpunk 2077 would run 60fps max settings in 2.5k on this rig?

i9 9900k
rtx 2080
32gb ram
1 TB SSD

Wait for the reviews.

Between the two chips, you wouldn't be seeing much of a difference. Could probably hold out until next gen unless holiday sales say otherwise.

On high settings I can see you getting 50-60FPS, ultra 30-45 fps.

It's nice having a local big-box retailer tho. The few specialized computer shop I've been in mark up probably even more :russ:not to mention all the deals I see that I can't take advantage of
I usually get processors and motherboards at Microcenter because they sell them cheaper than anybody but almost all the other stuff they mark up sometimes 15-20%

If you got a 2080 ti you can game up to 4k at 60 fps...so not sure why you would be interest in a 300 series card...

Now if you excuse me I got to plan my build next year for when I upgrade from a 2080 TI to a 3090 :pachaha:
Might as well wait for the next flagship Ti card if you have a 2080. Maybe they do another Titan between these and the next one.

We also don’t have to pay to play online, get FAR more sales on games, and we get the option of complete customization. I also will be getting a PS5. But ain’t nothing losing about having a gaming PC.

no you can't

the 2070 Super is already better than the ps5, the 500 dollar 3070 is better than the most powerful NVIDA card right now 2080ti, the 1500 3090 is replacing the Titan series card which is an industrial graphics card people use for work more so than gaming, the shyt can do 8k at 60fps that shyt is insane, don't bring up consoles compared to these cards please
