Today was my first day.. Im doing the same shyt @Gatorreloaded is doing..


Calories needed per day = 1,984-2,284

Protein needed = dunno yet

Cardio = not sure yet

Weights = Fridays, Sundays and Tuesdays...(Might switch to M-W-F)

I'm doing the Stronglift program starting November 30, 2012

Workout A

Squat 5 X 5
Bench Press 5 X 5
Row 5 X 5

Workout B

Squat 5 X 5
Overhead Press 5 X 5
Deadlift 1 X 5

This workout actually went really quick..almost too quick. It was around 20mins to do all 5 sets of the 3 exercises

I kept the bench at just the bar, The bent over rows just the bar, but for the squats I threw 5lbs on each side..

I was actually sweating from it.. ahaha

Breh after the first day my legs were :dead: I didnt do a second day because I could barely walk :snoop: Ive been running and doing non wighted squats since Im going to give it another shot on monday. Good luck breh :salute:

good luck breh, stick w it and don't get discouraged. and most importantly WATCH THOSE CALORIES.

the results won't be immediate, but much quicker than you think.

Started this a few weeks ago but didnt start with no weight because I thought it was pointless

Got bored after 2 weeks but my friend swears by the 5x5 so will go back to the start and do it properly

I'm worried about my form... I think I'll bring someone with me on Sunday to point out any errors

I use this program as well, it'll take more time when you start doing warmup sets and when the weight gets heavier it'll take a few minutes in between sets.

the further you go the more time youll need between sets

and once you start lifting BW values or 75% of bodyweight on lifts, you should strongly consider warm up sets

I forgot how much cutting sucks... Having a calorie budget really puts food in perspective..

Went over by 82 calories tonight (had a mini protein bar that was 80 cals just now)

Not getting enough protein so I still feel hungry after maxing on my calories


Need to be more strict... Gym in the a.m

One thing I never seen explained is... What do I do when I reach my max with weights and I cant get all 5 reps or sets done

Do you then stall on the weight your struggling with?

Hows that work?
