As an outsider from American politics, did you ever think of the day where Fox News and NBC, and Democrats/Republicans would change their stance on such issues in a matter of 5 years?

I've been following American politics since 2005-2006 ish, and I'd have to say that it is only with regards to issues of the 4th amendment and war that the media outlets seem to be in total agreement as to the complete and total honesty of the government. Even with regards to economics, while both sides are friendly to corporations and Neo-Liberal deregulation, they at least have some diversion as to the degree of their adherence. It is only when "national security" is mentioned that the secret radio embedded in all the news anchors and talking heads across the airwaves is immediately activated, turning them all into mindless propagandists saying the exact same talking points, across the spectrum.

I think this goes to show you that the average American citizen is an idiot. Its amazing how little most Americans know (or care to know) about their government. If this were any other country, Snowden would be lionized as a hero. But here, just with some carefully placed propaganda and a president with a demonic, yet charismatic grin, the general populace can be told what is right and what is wrong.

I have to give Obama credit is being so effective in pulling the wool over the eyes of so many people. Bush is probably jealous as shyt of this nikka...

man its whole another world once u get a away from the tri-state area cost of living wise

my rent is technically only $250 on my end cause i split the rent with my fiance , all our other utilities come out to $70-$90 /month ( a extra $35 in the rent a month we pay cause am a lazy fuk and wanted a covered garage in the already private parking lot lol )

only issue i have right now is that am car less for a few weeks until i get myself a hooptie

besides my school loan we have no major bills, and we only make a combined total of $70k right now


back on the east coast that shyt would have me extra broke with school loans + $900-$100 a month rent in a cramped apartment

It's all a part of the same thing, and I asked @TheReal if he minded if I did it at the exact moment they were debating, and he didn't reply so I figured he didn't care. It's like when I was redirecting all the drone strike stuff and people got upset and then I stopped and it all fell off the first page, and then later complained about why no one was talking about it when it fell off the front page.

Half the time I manually bump threads back up using mod functions if I think they're important, this way, I don't have to down the line. If anything, the thread title probably needs to be changed. Just the way I see it, I see your point though

Not at all, the Keith Olbermann's of the world on MSNBC were not like this when Bush was president. Granted he's not there, but there is a lot of hypocrisy in the media right now. Democrats are looking ridiculous. But what do I know, "I'm an Obama drone who doesn't really care about people" and I should probably just stop posting in HL.
