The problem in his particular case as he never really apologized for the Neo-Nazi rhetoric that he spewed on this site for years to the point of getting banned multiple times, while others got perm bans for less.
Even worse, he was resorting to name calling and going too hard on the pivot to the point that it came off as hypocritical.
Not to mention, cats like @skylove4 whose an actual real consistent Dem shill to his credit didn't believe the 180 either. He changed up his rhetoric and got mad at posters who were rightfully skeptical of it based on his previous comments.
