Ime and the owner don't wanna keep losing. Their top 6 guys in minutes played last year none of them were over the age of 22. FVV ain't the best option but he's got the winning pedigree and will bring some accountability to them, plus he can move off the ball.

You can win without a guy who’s gonna be a 20 point scorer. You’re already marginalizing Sengun, Jabari, now they’re gonna be reduced even more, gon turn them into pick setters . It ain’t worth it.

Get some vets for sure but not scorers. Them youngins need touches.

And yea SENGUN….That’s the guy people are really forgetting. He legit could end up being the best player on the team. They’ll find out when he’s on another team

UNLESS, FVV comes in and takes on a pass first mindset

They're in the second worst spot to be in. A super young team where no player has defined themselves as THE superstar to build around so they're stuck basically trying out everybody. It's like young OKC where the team knew Durant was the man so it's about finding pieces to put around him. With Houston none have stood out like that.

Nah this ridiculous :pachaha: They are in a similar position that Philly was in (Embiid, Noel, Okafor, Saric…Simmons, fultz), that Denver was in (Jokic, Nurkic, Faried….Murray, Barton, Garry Harris, Mudiaye)

There, they just had to weed out who’s the keepers

Now when it’s bad is when you have guys all cluttered at 1 position and none are that good . Ie what Orlando has seems to have for the last 5 years :snoop: or the knuckle head clippers (Q, Magette, miles, Odom).

Houston is more like the nuggets and Sixers. They have talent spread out, and we’ve already seen that Sengun, Jalen, and probably amen are superior talents. even KPJ is a talent. Now just a matter of fit, does someone get traded, etc. but they can all play. And then being spread out is huge

Bigs- Sengun, Jabari, Eason
Wings- Green, Whitmore, Kmart
Guards- Amen, KPJ

It’s just a matter of finding who’s the keepers. Imo you add vets but you don’t add another 20 point scorer like FVV

Imo 3 years from now the Houston squad that’s a contender will look like:

Amen-Jalen-vet 3&D-Jabari-Sengun, with Sengun-amen having a Jokic-Murray, sabonis-fox dynamic.

Bench: Eason, vets
Traded: KPJ, Whitmore

Somebody's gonna have to drop because that rotation is too deep.

I disagree any of those guys on the Rockets are close the Jokic and Embiid level
Those are top 5 level players
I don't see that in any of the Rockets young guys
It's funny you brought up the Knucklehead Clippers cause that's who they remind me of. A bunch of young talent people thought would turn out good but there wasn't a standout player among them and they were trash because of it

Portland is insane. Nurkic is shot and Dame/Simons is a very shaky backcourt defensively. There's not a set of moves that gets them to legit contender status, this is more a couple year thing which doesn't really mesh with Dame's timeline.

It seems both sides know deep down it's best to move on but no one wants to make the first move

Contender for most sports center highlights against them...

How are you arguing against what I say while also reaffirming exactly what I said lol. My point with Houston is that the player worth building around hasn't emerged. Even though he was injured early Philly identified pretty early Embiid was going to be the cornerstone. Same with Denver with Jokic to the point that they traded Nurkic to clear the way for him to take over who was a solid prospect as well. That player hasn't emerged yet for Houston which leaves them in that weird position they are in now where they want to upgrade with veterans but doing so would be at the expense of one of their young players since they have no clear cut direction of who to build around yet.
