It's very difficult to start guards in the NBA that can't shoot, I don't care how special athletically you areI get it, but I thought the plan was to start Amen.

Yeah especially since it sounds like Houston's owner doesn't want to lose another 60 games a year, they need to get some adults in the room and not run a glorified AAU squad out thereJust makes sense for them to grab FVV, let Amen develop his shot and then FVV can play off-ball, which is better for him because he's not a good facilitator or passer

Ime and the owner don't wanna keep losing. Their top 6 guys in minutes played last year none of them were over the age of 22. FVV ain't the best option but he's got the winning pedigree and will bring some accountability to them, plus he can move off the ball.I don’t know. They need a vet PG for sure, but FVV is 29. He’s going to be a plus starting PG for the next 2,3 years at least. That’s gonna cause a logjam when Amen is ready, which is gonanbe very soon. Like year 2. The days of keeping a guy on training wheels more than a a year are over
So while FVV is starting, it will trickle down to restrict Amen, KPJ, whitmore…(KMart, Ty Ty). They’re gonna need to make a trade asap.
It SOUNDS good to ask 20 year olds to sacrifice for the team but it isnt feasible and honestly it isn’t even advisable. You’re playing for a second contract you SHOULD be upset if you not getting a chance to showcase bc the team has 8 other nggas your age and position. You can’t ask young high lottery picks to be role players or be apprentices it’s not gonna work

Good points. Plus we see a lot of guys, guards especially, get lost in the shuffle starting off as just role players.I don’t know. They need a vet PG for sure, but FVV is 29. I just wanna post this again!
They're in the second worst spot to be in. A super young team where no player has defined themselves as THE superstar to build around so they're stuck basically trying out everybody. It's like young OKC where the team knew Durant was the man so it's about finding pieces to put around him. With Houston none have stood out like that.Ime and the owner don't wanna keep losing. I think Green will be way better with an actual PG once they move KPJ off point. He never got any easy shots fed to him. Alternatively, they could try to run the offense through Sengun a bit. They're in the second worst spot to be in.
