If Morey sends him to the rockets he better not end up as their GM again in a few years…..

:mjlol:

Seriously though they do have the assets to get him, but other teams have assets too. It would be “fishy”.

Who will even replace Embiid?

I guess the idea is that sixers would take back a package of prospects like jabari smith or amen that are seemingly promising.

But it's weird that this story came out, there was a story put out at the beginning of the offseason that the sixers want him to be a franchise player and never move him

Wouldn't make sense to trade up the younger prospects for Embiid.

I agree with you, but if you're trading for embiid that means you aren't willing to build a team and culture, you're ready to go back to competing (treadmilling tbh)

It is worth noting some of these young prospects aren't expected to fit well with each other as well, they were just gotten to stockpile talent. No one really thought that was a good landing spot for jabari in particular

If Rockets are going to trade young prospects for Embiid, wait until next season. Don't do what the Lakers did and trade their young prospects at their lowest value and have to give up the entire farm for AD. :martin:

Houston has a good young team, but getting Embiid won't make sense if they have someone like Sengun who's also a big man that's still developing. He's playing good in the olympics pics right now and might make a big leap this year.

There's levels. Embiid just became MVP, has carried teams and gone blow for blow with hall of famers in playoff series.
