so ? don't really see how this relates to anything...I think we would be able to get some value for LMJ in a trade, if that's what you're saying...

Just piggy backing off what u said, a running back in order to succeed in the NFL has to be able to block and if he can't even get in the way of a defender he has to line up somewhere else or go.

We should atleast use LMJ on kickoff returns and as others referenced screens on 3rd down. The problem is he's small, so his blocking isn't great so you can't play him a lot unless you get him out the backfield for quick screens or sweeps, you can keep him in on pass plays that require 3-5 step drops because the D will be hounding Kaep.

http://www.csnbayarea.com/49ers/rookie-d-linemen-could-make-debuts-sunday

Demarcus Dobbs is the only other healthy backup defensive lineman. So the 49ers are likely to add a player to their 53-man roster for Sunday’s game. Nose tackles Dial and Mike Purcell, who has spent the first six weeks on the practice squad, are the most likely candidates to be activated for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

lets see what 350 lb dial has

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/49ers/...potted-running-sprints-jumping-off-both-feet/

Wide receiver Michael Crabtree ran several sprints at the start of practice on a field adjacent to where the rest of his teammates practiced.
This marked the first time Crabtree displayed how well he can run in front of the media since he suffered a torn Achilles during an offseason workout.

:dj2:

i'm trying to temper expectations with crab

but if he and kaep can re-create that magic they had last year along with VD and the return of the power running game this offense could be a beautiful sight :to:
