juice has as many calories per 12 oz serving as most sodas

theres your issue, cut the juice drink water

my dude...

you say you're skinny but that you have a gut.

that gut is FAT. you can't choose where your body loses fat from. your body decides. so the only way you can lose the gut is to burn fat (ie lose weight as these dudes are saying)

the only way to burn fat is to have a calorie deficit so that your body goes to that stored fat in your gut to use as energy rather than the food/juice you're consuming.

you create a calorie deficit by using more energy than you consume, so either:

- exercize more
- eat less calories
- preferably.... a combination of the above

putting on muscle will speed your metabolism making it easier to achieve and maintain the deficit.

note: sit ups/ab work is not really useful unless you lose enough fat that your abs are visible. otherwise the muscle tone will be hidden beneath the layer of fat. and ab work is not an effective way to burn fat.

im already skinny as hell tho thats what confuses the fukk outta me...but i guess i got to lower my already petite frame and drop a few pounds till im borderline underweight to lose this gut :ehh:

Take the grains (bread, rice) and sugar (candy, juice) out of your diet, supplement those with meat/poultry/fish/nuts/veggies/water/some fruits, then either focus on weight lifting with emphasis on compound lifts or do bodyweight exercises like the other dude said.

lemme tell it simple

if you look like ole dude you posted you are:

1) new to lifting
2) not paying attention to diet

why this is a benefit to you is:

You dont have a "ton" of fat, so cutting everything isnt necessary(why i said cut out your juice)

because you are a novice at lifting, the first 2-3 months will put on easy muscle quickly AND allow you to lose most of your gut

How my advice doesnt make sense i dont know, either you want to be frail or you dont want to lift heavy weight :leon:

eitherway, its a pretty simple predicament.
