What I mean is... What if the people finally decide to resist? There is no longer any South Korean or American boogyman.
Will probably just go the usually authoritarian route and have mass arrests/killings

Kim ain’t giving away power by letting the serfs educate themselves. Koreans in the North have a easy out to the South instead of being stifled under Kim. This isn’t like were you have refugees from Iraq going to a new land of Syria. These are the same people.Ideally many of their issues will go away as they are gradually no longer embargoed and sanctioned by the rest of the world
We will see how it actually goes tho

What do you teach?Ulterior motives or not, the images of them stepping over the Demilitarized zone is iconic. Historic images. Can't wait to talk about it with my students. I'll be even more if one of them brings it up.
I’m not even talking about cellphones or stuff.I don't agree that they are the same people for the reason you mentioned in the first sentence.
I think most North Koreans would go through a massive culture shock if they were just dropped off in Seoul and left to fend for themselves.
They have been brainwashed for decades, you are not just going to undo that in a few months.
What do you teach?
Cool. High school or college?World History. Been lobbying to teach AP History (we don't offer it now) and intro to Africana Studies (never offered it) to no avail

Lol kinda. Moon himself clashed with Abe on a lot of stuff, including the North Korea issue. Kim obviously doesn’t like him.
Add that to the territorial disputes South Korea has with Japan plus general sentiments all Koreans have about the Japanese government and you get shyt like this:
Unjust desserts: dish planned for Korean summit prompts anger in Japan
Surely both Koreas knew that Japan would lodge a complaint over the disputed territories being included into the summit dessert, but the reaction by the North and South so far amounted to
Sounds dope.oh my god..I like to consider myself connected to world politics and events, but this is the first time I am hearing about this. I dont watch TV and I dont have social media. Im making a Twitter page on the strength of those tweets so I can stay connected.
Abe isnt even that well liked in Japan. When I was stationed there a large number of the locals would try to explain he has broken several promises to them regarding America's presence in Japan.
I feel like something big is coming, like all of the Asian countries are about to come together to start making some real money. They have the population numbers, they are about to put everyone to work in that part of the world for the betterment of the entire region and they will no longer have to depend on America for anything.
Took AP World and US history in HS.World History. Been lobbying to teach AP History (we don't offer it now) and intro to Africana Studies (never offered it) to no avail
