One hell of a mistranslation

Either way, Moon is running game on Trump.

If low key pushing Trump as a nobel prize winner means Trump will be in-line with Moon’s NK agenda (and possibly more), Moon is all for it.

Trump seeks glory and him being involved in a potential Peace treaty (and the nobel prize) fills the need to quench his narcissism.

The DMZ is now a front runner as a potential spot for the US-NK summit, despite being downplayed not long ago. A summit in the DMZ means that SK can directly or indirectly be involved in the makings of the summit and more.

Is America technically at war with North Korea?
I mean....

The peace treaty would be between South Korea and North Korea right? America really shouldn't have any say over the terms should we? Trump's presence is merely symbolic in terms of our military will be involved in the outcome either way.

The US, China, and North Korea signed the Armistice that stopped the fighting back in 1953. If a peace treaty is going to happen, the US (and possibly China) will have to be involved.

On top of that the US has about 30,000 troops in South Korea. If war broke out in the Korean Peninsula, the US has the right to take control of South Korea’s military.

Meaning that sooner or later, the US will have to be involved for something definite and long-term to occur. Meaning Trump’s role is actually very important in the grand scheme of things. The difference between then and now is that South Korea is taking charge of the initial steps this time and North Korea is focused their initial diplomatic efforts towards South Korea, not the US.

In theory NK and SK can forge some sort of a non-aggression pact between each other that can serve as a treaty. But the US’ influence is so large in the peninsula that the US will have to directly and/or indirectly co-sign such a pact for it to last. That or the big powers of the region will have to all co-sign the pact, isolating the US and possibly resulting in the US deciding to co-sign the pact. Either way, the US will have a say.

Thanks for taking me to school on the ins and outs.

This makes my fear even more real. Trump is going to go along with China and NK to reduce/remove the US military if the other three agree. It would look like aggression on the US's part to stay just because of the other three squash the beef.
