No troll... Why do you think Jay has had so much more business success than Nas?

Got damn. Two pages in and nobody flat out said cuz Jayz owned his own shyt since reasonable doubt and Nas did not.

But honestly none of this is really true since Nas invested in IT he will still gross close to a billion

Jay put it best, he's not a business man he's a business, man. Everything he does and has done is about business. That's not a bad thing, that's just his motivation.

Nas just seems to be motivated by different things. Which also isn't a bad thing.

They just got different life priorities because they are different people. Do you measure your own personal success by the successes of other people?

Surroundings, upbringing, personality ..so many factors contribute to the different fates of both rappers. I will say this though, Jay is one of the most discerning, shrewd personalities in hip hop, he's also one of the hardest working in the game. He's definitely calculated, I think that's what he owes most of his success too, very strategic. Alot of guys break under pressure.

It's a different mindset...I remember Nas talking about never doing a beer commercial. Jay endorsed Heineken and Budweiser. .

Nas didn't endorse many products in the 90s. I remember the karl kani and sprite ads.

Meanwhile Jay had rocawear, reebok s.carter shoes, touring, and more successful artists under his label. He was driven to do more outside of music.
