U wont fight a dude thats been talkin straight shyt to you, fights at 185, and isnt ready for a fight at all, all while Jones is 100% ready to fight the dude that is Chaels mentor. If he, the Champion, takes a fight that clearly inconveniences him since its such short notice, he becomes Dana's bytch. He's been saving the company for the past 2 years while a lot of their older stars have retired (or fallen off). There's a point where he's just gotta say no.

jones vs. sonnen doesn't really make sense...even forgetting the fact that they'd have to fight in 8 days. sonnen fights at lower weight class and is coming off a loss...giving him a title shot at lhw just seems retarded.
on the other hand, there'd be money to be made if they did fight. so i guess dana's probably mad cuz he wanted to salvage the event by putting sonnen on...he's a draw cuz of his mouth and jones puts butts in the seats.
i mean, they are fighters and they all train hard so i don't know what the solution is...but all these injuries are really fukking things up.
