:what: How does the fans sticking with them mean that the players aren't viewing this as a failure?

:why::what::wtf::childplease:

They didn't win this year because they ran into a team that played better than them.

The series was over before it started. Anyone who didn't know that doesn't know the NBA as far as I'm concerned.

Most players are working on their game...

if they are working on their game, they are acknowledging they need to improve to get better right? if they were complacent and thought hey we're good enough, there'd be no need to have any more effort

OKC just ran into a buzzsaw this year, no one was beating LBJ this year

:wtf: They clearly thought and think it was a failure and a failed opportunity , i dont know what you consider a failure, but i consider getting blown off the floor a failure; maybe if they went on a emotional panick crying to the media proclaiming they are going to commit suicide you'll understand.

and Idk what realm you from that says being the favorite and getting damn near swept is not a failure :what:

Why did you title this thread "No reason to hang our heads"?

They're not going to win a chip until they are forced to hang their heads. This is what I'm trying to teach you.

Also, they weren't really the favorites. Anyone who knows NBA basketball knows this. Maybe I'm getting too old/wise and this game is getting redundant to me. I was killing the predictions this year. I called Miami coming back from 3-2 against Boston in the ECF during the 1st round. :yeshrug:

No way was OKC a legitimate favorite. They had no shot at winning that series. It was common sense to me. If OKC won my head would have exploded that's how unrealistic them winning was.

Why? Because they've never hung their heads before.

But everyone works on their game every year, not just the team that lost the Finals. Bron and them are working on their games too. So are the Bobcats. You think KD is the only guy working on his game?

Maynor, who sustained a torn ACL just nine games into the season against Houston on Jan. 7, also assured the injury will not force him to play catch-up once next season starts. “I'm not going to be behind, I'll tell you that,” Maynor said. “I'm working hard this summer. I've been working hard since I got hurt.”

NEW YORK – NBA commissioner David Stern has punished the Oklahoma City Thunder, ordering them to send a future draft pick to the Boston Celtics as compensation for the heart problems that Jeff Green suffered with the Celtics, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Oklahoma City will send Boston the 2013 second-round pick that it controls from Charlotte. Expected to be the worst team in the league again, Charlotte's pick will likely be the 31st overall. After Green had season-ending surgery for an aortic aneurysm in December, Boston's doctors constructed a case to take to the NBA trying to show proof that Oklahoma City owed the Celtics some kind of compensation, sources said. The Thunder had traded Green to the Celtics in February of 2011 as part of a package for center Kendrick Perkins. Green missed the 2011-'12 season with the condition, but plans a comeback this year. Green will be a free agent, and Boston has shown interest in re-signing him.

Don't understand that at all. Their doctors checked off on a physical for him & he finished that season, then it was an issue. :yeshrug: Stern just making random ass decisions I guess.

As part of a ruling in a trade disclosure dispute between the Boston Celtics and the Oklahoma City Thunder, NBA Commissioner David Stern today awarded the Celtics a 2013 second-round draft pick held by the Thunder. Stern found that there was no evidence of bad faith or any intent to withhold information on the part of Thunder management or its physicians, but that Oklahoma City’s cardiologists were in possession of information about Jeff Green that was not shared with Thunder management and that should have been disclosed to the Celtics in connection with the trade of Green in February 2011.

Under NBA rules, teams are required to disclose to each other in connection with trades any information in their possession or control about a player’s prior injuries, illnesses, or other health conditions that could affect the player’s ability to play NBA basketball at any point in the future. Green had surgery on his heart in January 2012 and did not play during the 2011-12 season.

:ohhh: management didn't even know yet their punished. If the Celtics didn't come up with that in their physical of him when traded, then they shouldn't be able to complain about it. Stern is just straight :troll: the Thunder on this.
