No reason to go movies anymore

Some of y'all are tripping. You will still never be able to replicate the theater-going experience...and even annoying teenagers or 20-somethings are part of the experience. The reactions from strangers during scenes trumps the reaction from your friends/family at home.

If you can't go 2-3 hrs without using the bathroom...and you don't have to buy popcorn, snacks or drinks their. Hell, worst case, bring your own....but I never eat at the movies.

Then the dollar movies for the classics are hella fun as well. Hell, I'm going to Blobfest next month and I've seen The Blob hundreds of times...but the experience (costumes, run out reinactment, B-movies galore) and the double feature in the retro theater.

Audience reaction? People be quiet as fukk unless you watching a comedy. I'll probably never go to the movies again. My man hit me up about The Batman, i didn't go and one month later it was on HBO Max lmao.. I don't like wasting money when i can watch the shyt at home. Get a 77 inch OLED and you good.. Get a nice sound system and you got your own movie theater at home.

Movies hit streaming 3 months after theater release. Back then it would take a year before making it to rent at blockbuster.

Nah you cant replicate the screen, surround sound, dolby experience and the quiet sound of 300 people when thanos snapped his finger and the movie ended. That was surreal

Even though I got the home theater projector setup at the crib, I'll still go to watch blockbusters in 3D. No Way Home hit different in the theaters compared to watching at home. I don't go out much so I don't mind splurging on the theater experience with the fam. It's dope that 45 days later I can steam the flick on my home projector then analyze the hell out of it and catch things I missed in the movies. There is a lane for both demographics, the theater enthusiasts and the home theater buffs.

Going to a Nolan Batman marathon was an amazing experience that couldn't be replicated in my living room. Seeing Infinity War with a packed theater on opening day was . Or the collective when the new batmobile was revealed

when you're in a dark theater and you pull your phone out, that light from the phone pulls everyone in your row and behind you out of the movie, even if it's for a glance. .that shyt even bugs me when someone is sitting off to the side and a row behind me and I can see that light through my peripherals

just step outside like you're going to the bathroom if you have to check your phone

I've gotten into fights in the theater over phones, but I always start out civil
my girl now insists we sit in the first couple rows just to avoid shyt

movie theaters need to start making everyone put their phones in those bags they have at comedy shows because of fakkits like you
