Unless it’s a huge blockbuster like top gun

Movies hit streaming 3 months after theater release. Back then it would take a year before making it to rent at blockbuster.

I’m just salty cuz I saw the Batman in theaters and now it’s on HBO max lmao
I walked out of Batman because the experience was so trash and just waited for it to hit HBOMAX. I watch everything with subtitles and the audio was hard to hear everything they say. I also got a OLED so the picture quality is better at home. Then you add you can’t grab a snack or take a piss without missing parts of the movie and the whole concept is outdated and trash. Let’s not forget having to deal with ppl too

She G checked you :mjlol:

I don't think I'll ever go back to a theater. Can't even remember the last I went to one but it was well before Covid crushed the buildings. I enjoy not being around a bunch of randoms who might end up ruining the experience.
Nah after it was over her boyfriend was all "did you enjoy the movie or were you too busy on your phone" I said loudly "you can't watch it again brokeboy?" His fat ass got all silent and tried to comeback by repeating exactly what I just said but stuttered saying it

:gucci: How did you spend $80 at the movies with only two people?!?

2 tix was damn near 40, popcorn, drinks and being that I'm usually on a 18-6 fast, I had to get some actual food at the time we went. I looked at my recipts when we left that bytch like...no way am I about to drag 5 other people to a theater for some shyt I that's gonna stream or be able to be found online in good quality.

I enjoyed Sonic 2 on my couch just fine.

People are dikks too, I got into an argument with some heaux 4 seats to my right who came up to me and said she was going to the manager after I just quickly glanced at my phone one time. :comeon:

I almost strangled some euro cac when I was in Vegas seeing the first Ironman, I will never forget that shyt lol

Somebody had already asked him to be quiet once, then I did, Next thing I know he's throwing popcorn at my head and I ended up walking to the row in front of him to keep from blocking everybody else view and quietly told him that I would fukk him up if he throws something else at me. Eventually somebody came in, I got my shyt cuz I figured they were gonna come ask me to leave but they took him and his orange girl friend out instead.

There's nothing playing :yeshrug: . When they started showing hit movies from the 70's, that should have told us something.

I use to be an A-list member, and I would sometimes see two movies a week. I don't think I ever saw three in one week. The downside to be an A-list member is, people my age can't continue getting away with all that popcorn and soda, two or three times a week. I messed myself up doing that, but I did get my numbers back to normal range. You don't want diabetes, believe me when I say that. And I loved that popcorn and soda routine. That was half the reason I was going to the movies. But the movie gotta be at least half way interesting.
I always try to see classics on the big screen. It's like seeing the movie for the first time no matter how many times I seen them on my TV. I truly feel that you don't not fully experience a movie the way a director intended if you don't see it in a movie theater.

I'd actually be more inclined to go to the movies more often for older/classic films. I've never gone to the theater for something that didn't just come out, unless we talking the dollar show lol, and those would still be within the year.

You know what won't allow you to fully experience a movie...a bad crowd. There's too many idiots out there and sometimes they choose to be at the same showing you're going too. I've had movies ruined because there's a baby crying. Who the hell brings a baby to a movie?

I don't need IMAX, high ticket prices, 20 minutes of trailers, AC's set to sub zero temperatures, and overpriced concessions. Not to mention that most big movies have 2.5-3 hour runtimes so bathroom breaks can have your missing important moments.

I can enjoy a movie just fine from the couch and I don't even have a huge screen and surround sound.

Still not worth 17 bucks a ticket. Plus these classic movies from the 70's were already on the big screen when they were first released. Movie theaters didn't just come out in the 2000's.

The year 3030
I like going to older movies in theaters to see the crowd. Like last year I went to the Willy Wonka showing and it was mad 60+ people, and few people my age.

Transformers (86) had people my age and few actual kid, kids.

Took mom/dad to Saturday night fever a few years back and it was people their age...I think I might've been one of the few younger people there
