Those first Spiderman movies did. I would've given them a 10 - 15 year lease.
yeah spiderman did great but they sold the movie rights in the mid 90's. At that time the only successful super hero movie was batman.

I listen to an IGN podcast and for the past 2 weeks, cats have written into them questioning when will Marvel pony up the money to buy back their properties from Fox and Sony

The hosts of the show have to calmly explain to these fools that you can't buy something that isn't for sell and the amount of money Marvel/Disney would have to fork over would be astronomical and there's no reason for Fox or Sony to let go of them and they'd be stupid to do so. Fanboys man, cowardly and superstitious lot

I went to see cap 2 with a few female friends of mine and one of them said "well Iron Man is done right and they won't keep making Captain America movies" and I laughed at her ass for thinking any movie studio is going to stop making something that makes money. She said they won't be making these movies 50 years from now and I said they said the same thing about James Bond and she said "whens the last time anyone talked about James Bond?" My answer? "Two years ago when the last one made a billion dollars

LOL that shyt made me want to give her the gas face for that stupid comment. Marvel Studios sole purpose is to create properties for television and film, what the fukk else are they going to do if they aren't making movies? They're going to keep making Cap movies, Iron Man movies, etc regardless of whether Robert Downey Jr or Chris Evans is playing the role or not. I love them, but to quote CL Smooth and CM Punk "they're just a spoke in the muthafukkin wheel" Marvel would love to have spider man back in the fold but shyt aint happening. Fiege still gets a check though because he executive produces Spidey so he's eating regardless
