Who was the 2 rappers who was touching each others junk on stage and said it was ok because they're related? Pretty sure Silk was one of them

Neither funny nor has it anything to do with No Limit Records. Go listen to some Masta Killah or Wu Syndicate "classics"

Missy being garbage rap is subject and is neither here or there. The same people that would've called Missy garbage would also day the same thing about No Limit. No Limit caught a lot of flack and still do due to the type of music they made and people called it garbage and even go as far as saying they were the downfall of Hip Hop.

Busta and Missy were viewed as musical siblings. They made the same type of music. The pnly two real differences is that Buss was more lyrical and Missy sang with more of a focus on rap. In '99, she wasn't flopping. It would be in error to label her album a flop and not acknowledge every NL artist that dropped in '98 sold considerably less with their '99 releases and the albums weren't as good either.

STOP IT.

no limit hate was simply catching bullets on the frontline for the south.
missy is considered garbage rap in the same vein as stanky leg & laffy taffy.

missy had one of the biggest flops in '99. she recovered sales for it in 2000 with the hot boyz single.
im not arguing about missy f*ckin Elliot in this thread with you anymore tho. LOL.

No Limit was not catching bullets for being at the frontlines of The South. They were catching bullets because a lot of people mis judged the music based off the singles, videos, and overall image.

Missy definitely wasn't viewed in the same vein as D4L and the group that made "Stanky Leg". You reaching hard with that one. For one, neither group had a cultural footing being that neither had more than one hit song. Number two, nobody respected wanted to do a song with them. Meanwhile, everybody from MC Lyte to Jay Z had Missy rapping on their songs. Number three, Missy has artists remaking and sampling her records.

Missy didn't have one of the biggest flops of '99. Again, you can't say Missy flopped and in the same breath not acknowledge these:

Master P- Only God Can Judge Me (went from 4X platinum in '98 to Gold in '99 and advertised this album as "the biggest Hip Hop Album ever")

Mase- Double Up (multi-platinum to Gold)

Puff Daddy- Forever (7X Platinum to platinum)

Juvenile- G Code (multi platinum in less than a year before to barely platinum)

^^^ you're smoking rocks to call Missy's album one of the biggest flops of 1999. She still went platinum selling around the same amount of copies as her debut.

@OHSNAP!

Do you know how much unreleased nl stuff there is (mainly from 98) ?
I think KLC might have some unreleased stuff from BBTP's entire stint on NL. He claims he has the Tank Doggs album. But why wouldn't he release it to make a buck then? There are tons of bonus songs on NL singles (I think all of Snoop's singles off DGITBSNTBT album have one bonus track. Most MP singles from 97/98 too) that were cut from the respective albums. That YT channel from which I posted the Reginelli song has tons of unreleased/rare NL songs

well if i think solja rags is better then that’s my opinion :martin:
that’s great that juve and mannie feel that way about 400 degreez, which is a great album, but i personally don’t like it as much as solja rags. i just like solja rags better, not because of any nostalgia or because it was more underground.
