If you cut through all the bullshyt and tip-toeing it's pretty obvious how shyt went down. Rose jumped ship and was completely done with Thibs. This may have influenced others to do the same to some degree, while all Pau saw (being new to the team and having no history or context) was a squad looking like they didn't want to give everything in themselves to win. Honestly, all that matters is how Jimmy feels about Thibs. Rose is no longer the Bulls best player and centerpiece of the organization, so if he doesn't f*ck with Thibs anymore and Jimmy still does that's too bad for Rose. If Jimmy is genuinely through there's no way you can bring back Thibs under ANY circumstance.
I very much agree with you ... here is what I deduct:

Rose turned on the idea of Thibs, bringing Swanson onto the staff to insulate himself. She/he probably got Taj/Noah on board with their feelings. Would explain Rose's lack of fire this year, probably just wanted to stay healthly, and then get focused for a Thibsless future.

Jimmy was probably somewhere in the middle, just concentrating on playing ball and earning his contract.

Pau signed here to a mirage of a team and likely regrets it. He signed up for everything this team used to be, and not what it was this year. Last night wasnt the first time he said something about guys not be locked in ... Im guessing he stayed loyal to Thibs, and was amicable with all the players because hes just such a stand up dude. I wouldnt be shocked if he & his agent put in a lowkey trade request, because this is not what he signed up for.

From what I have read/heard, I strongly believe Rose is over Thibs, and whatever he says publicly doesnt mean shyt.

Who knows though for sure ... we need someone to break open these stories.

The Bulls don't want to fire him because he has 2 years left and they want compensation for him from which ever team hires him.

So we're going to see Thibs say all the right things about how he fully expects to coach here next year, and we're going to just have to wait and see how bad a team wants to pry dude away.

why would ANY team offer the bulls compensation for :coachthibs: when EVERYONE knows that he's a dead man walking these days???

They'd do it because they want to get Thibs coaching their team and he's still under contract with Chicago.

He's not walking away from 9 million

I'm not a fan, yet watched a lot of Bulls games because of Pau then Jimmy...

Y'all let me down :mjcry:

Thibs has GOT to go, but I don't know who could be better...

And free Snell :mjcry:.....he could have had a podium game at some point in these playoffs if given the opportunity

That sun times story about what went on behind the scenes with the bulls front office and thibs is not a good look for the bulls management sounds like they sabotaged thibs and tried to get the players to turn on him

It's clearly a lot of people on both sides in both camps are leaking a ton of information.

I heard Michael wilbon on sports center say verbatim "people around the bulls organization including some of the players are done with thibs"

We know how hush hush this front office is to the point not even chicago beat writers get a scoop from them, so when guys like Stephen a smith and Michael wilbon suddenly have "sources" then that information is purposely reaching them.

Thibs done.

He was huge in game 3 against the Bucks but never got minutes because of Thibs love affair with Hinrich

Im much more at peace with Thibs leaving if its true he lost the locker room

Feel bad for Pau though, he came into a toxic environment ... I always felt like Dunleavy wanted to say some shyt, he was the most candid dude all year with the media. Im guessing hes not cool with Thibs

Been watching this team with this core since it got together.

I'm not ever buying that guys just had a bad game or cleveland was so great. I don't care how many cavs fans that upset.

No way this team didn't see what was in front of them and not feel like this was they best shot at a title

This team quit yesterday and it's clear that some players would even sacrifice a chance to advance then thibs get the credit and remain here. Felt like the players knew losing this series would def spell thibs doom.
