Not too sure about Gentry's head coaching records. I don't like having a fresh Hoiberg either. I just wish This would smarten up like Nas. :francis:

They dropped 16 games to -500 teams, yes this team was a mess
Im waiting for someone to blow the cover off and let us know what really went down this season ... how the players really feel about thibs ... etc.,

Peep that part I posted about the riff between Jenn Swanson and Thibs ... sounds like Jenn got into the ears of Rose, Noah & Taj and turned them sour on Thibs

I could see them not trusting Thibs as much and being willing to commit to the type of standards that he wanted cause they were trying to be more conscious about taking care of their bodies. All three battled through their health problems this year and years prior. it's gotta be a hell of a task trying to balance that.

This Grantland article breh... First paragraph embodies my sentiments 100%.

You almost had to laugh. The fightin’ Chicago Bulls, down big in the fourth quarter with their season on the line, tried to mount a comeback with Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, and Kirk Hinrich on the floor together. Tom Thibodeau eventually swapped out Noah for Pau Gasol, but Hinrich remained in, and Nikola Mirotic did not sniff the court in the second half until the game was hopeless. Tony Snell, who can actually shoot 3s, may have been serving beer in the stands.

If the player sentiment is that they are over Thibs ... would make cutting him loose so much easier in my eyes

I wonder what the real thoughts are there

I know it might be a reach since he's projected to go 28, but would like George Lucas at the 22nd pick?

Might appeal to the FO if he's not coming over right away. They can hold off on that salary for a couple years. Eventually we will need a PG though. even if it's just a backup, I don't wanna keep shuffling minimum salary guys.

Another interesting tweet ... something Pau Gasol referenced pretty bluntly last night in his postgame (about players not going all in)

Maybe this team was a mess all season?
If you cut through all the bullshyt and tip-toeing it's pretty obvious how shyt went down. Rose jumped ship and was completely done with Thibs. This may have influenced others to do the same to some degree, while all Pau saw (being new to the team and having no history or context) was a squad looking like they didn't want to give everything in themselves to win. Honestly, all that matters is how Jimmy feels about Thibs. Rose is no longer the Bulls best player and centerpiece of the organization, so if he doesn't f*ck with Thibs anymore and Jimmy still does that's too bad for Rose. If Jimmy is genuinely through there's no way you can bring back Thibs under ANY circumstance.
