Lets go with Gentry. His work with turning GS into an offensive juggernaut is intriguing. Plus the more I read about Hoiberg and his past connections with Foreman leads me to believe he will just be a yes men

So I've been thinking about this bulls team and don't know what kind of system will work other than a clone coach pop gameplan. The reality is that you have 2 key pieces (Rose, Pau) who have to have their minutes heavily monitored throughout the season.

A couple of issues though:
Pau is not the post player he once was, so him drawing doubles on a consistent basis is not going to happen anymore.
Rose is just not the same player anymore. I know this hurts fans, but he really needs to be more of a facilitator than a scorer at this point IMO
Butler is the scorer on this team now.
Noah is a solid contributor, but he is probably an off the bench 24-25 mpg kind of player at this point
Sign Lin as a backup
Hinrich is obviously going to stay next season, I would try to ship him + taj by mid-season next year for a big who can play D

I'm just not feeling Gentry's HC record (according to wiki). Maybe they can throw him into the Offensive Assistant/Assistant HC role again and see where that goes if they keep Thibs. Otherwise I hope Gentry comes with a loaded staff.

As far as Hoiberg being a yes man it isn't something I like either. Both the court and the offices gotta see eye to eye though. He's got no NBA coaching experience either. My issue with some college coaches is that some programs are designed to try and stay on top for the foreseeable future so the coach at XYZ isn't always going to be great. But Hoiberg took some trash into something good in a year. :ehh: Either that goes to Hoiberg or the recruiters.

Two sides to it, but I'd not gamble. They need to stop choking Thibs out and give him some assets or let the man go period. Both sides have issues.

It's hard for an NBA player to go even 10 minutes without recording a point, rebound or assist, but it's almost impossible to do so in 20 minutes, especially in a playoff game. If you don't produce, you don't play.

Somehow, the Bulls recorded two of the eight games of 20 minutes, zero points, zero rebounds and zero assists that have happened in the playoffs since 1985. We celebrated Kirk Hinrich's troubles when the Bulls were eliminated in Game 6 on Thursday, but his teammate Mike Dunleavy amazingly did the same thing in the previous series.

You can see the full list here, courtesy of basketball-reference.com.

Michael Jordan couldn't save them that night. Scottie Pippen couldn't save them that night.

IT WAS DELLY TIME HAHAHAHA

Delly was the Cavs leading scorer in a closeout game on the road in Chicago. The Bulls stink

It was The Miami Cavaliers!!

damn...Delly really cooked DRose's soul in front of his brother, family and several close friends

In the ocean where the sharks be at
Still don't think we quit. Team was/is/been a mess all season. We shot horribly that game , but we've shot horribly multiple games in the playoffs. They smashed us on the glass, but it's been a challenge to board against them all season. Add the fact that Pau/Noah was injured, u get the 20 board edge.

Rose talked about adding something to his game. I hope whoever coaching the squad next season let him work out on the post. nikka made it look easy game 6.

I'm tired rose talking. he's been saying the same old shyt while recovering about how he added more things to his game and that he is a smarter player. Really? Cuz I didn't see none of that shyt this whole season and especially this playoffs.

I'm glad that he is physically getting acclimated, but his bball iq and shot selection has really regressed.

I have a strange feeling the Bulls will end up drafting Frank the Tank with the 22nd pick. If Thibs is still around, he might literally kill Garpax.

The weirdest thing about Rose's playoff run is that he actually showed that he can be a closer. He showed that he can be a matchup problem.

But after seeing how he played Game 6, he looked disinterested and completely done with the game in the 2nd Half, and especially in the 4th. Then after I read his comments after the game about just being happy he was able to walk off the court, I'm starting to think that he lost a bit of that competitive fire he had. His mentality seems to have flipped and did a 180 from when he won the MVP to now.

This is the same dude that said he'd die on the court and he would rip up his knee 10 times and he'd still be attacking like nothing ever happened. Now? He's just happy he doesn't get hurt.

:to:

It was pretty weird to watch though, cause he played damn well in some games. I was thinking a coaching change with a new offense would be enough for this team to improve next season. But Rose has can't be playing without drive. Never seen dude's will broken like it was in that Game 6 before

The Chi (South Side)
because the Bulls are too cheap to fire him?

it's gonna be like a couple 2nd round picks prob

They'd do it because they want to get Thibs coaching their team and he's still under contract with Chicago.

He's not walking away from 9 million

that's always been my thought that the bulls were not about firing thibs with that much money on the table. but then again, all reports have suggested that the bulls were gonna get rid of him regardless, which means, that garpax already have the blessing from the don jerry reinsdorf to toss that $9M in the :bushess:
