if you don’t like Kendrick then why do you care about his new album and how well it did or what it sounds like. I care SWEET fukk ALL about Drakes albums or how many sales he has, I literally could not care any less about the latest Drake album. I don’t check for it when it drops, I don’t care if it gets 3 billion streams a day, why would I? Drake is just an example but there’s plenty more.
You don’t have to dislike Kendrick Lamar to think this album is garbage. I loved Damn.

The same weirdos who were hating when the album dropped are still in here trying to convince other people not to like it. :dead:

“ no on listens to this in real life”
“ it has no impact”

Y’all think cause the people you hang around don’t like an artist then they don’t have a real fanbase. The world is bigger than the bubble you live in. For example, I can’t name a single Bad Bunny song, I guess that means he’s not popular? You see how stupid that sounds.

Kendrick is literally on a world wide tour right now for an album that supposedly came and went. I loved the album and consistently go back to it. A lot of y’all seek validation from other people instead of liking what you want.

Yes because of Kendrick’s massive casual white mainstream audience.

This album is irrelevant has no influence in the culture.
:dead:
You just made that up.
All this means is that you don’t hear the album when you are out and it’s not getting played in your circle. You have no idea what’s going on outside of your circle/algorithm.

The album is trash. Just because a billion weirdos listen to Bad Bunny doesn’t make or break my observation from my side of the universe.
Your personal observation from your side of the universe doesn’t dictate whether an album came and went.

It seems that you understand this, but just want to hate on the album, which is fine. I didn’t like the album either. Or damn.
Mainstream hip hop has been trash for pretty much the last 7 years. That’s my opinion. Doesn’t mean Bad and Bougee came and went because I didn’t like it.

Personally, I have to agree with you only because previous to that album every Kendrick album was at such a level I went back to it for a while
Drake house album came and went but the expectations were lower, it's kind of a bad precedent now that even "artist's artist" are creating disposable music in their prime

I do hate the album so I know I’m hating but it came & went for the Hip-Hop community. It’s still here for mainstream fans of anything popular. It’s so convoluted nowadays it’s hard to distinguish Hip-Hop from mainstream culture.

That just begs the larger question of what is the culture? To me, the culture is TT4 and this new Roc Marciano/Alchemist album. This new Cormega album.
But to someone of a younger generation, all that shyt is dusty and the culture is what they hear their peers playing in real life and on social media. What’s played when they go out to clubs etc. Future, Drake, drill rappers I’ve never heard of, etc.

The culture isn’t a monolith.

Why would I do that?
Nah you right. I shouldn’t have said that. I know that’s your perspective and truth. It’s just that you aren’t considering the perspectives of others. Not every fan of this new Kendrick album is a white person completely disconnected from the culture.
